I really believe this is started by left wing agitators to fool gullible, paranoid conservatives and make them look foolish.

Of course, we could have an Archduke Ferdinand moment, where somebody from one side shoots somebody from the other side, sparking CWII (in which case, we would probably also get Martial Law, with an obnoxious curfew).

However, I would rather prefer this kind of Martial Law.

I was in High School, back in the 1940's, when I read It can't Happen Here, a tale of how the American people elect a tyrant. As a cautionary tale, it has stuck with me over the years.
