K-12: Logic Bombs and Pac-Man

A logic bomb is code designed to destroy data in a computer.

Imagine you programmed someone to ask people on the street, “Are you from Jupiter?” If people don’t say, “Yes, of course,” you knock them down. Thus they are bombed one by one, as you work your way across the city, until no one is left standing. All very logical.

I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's a picture of a bunny with a pancake on its head.

A high-tech way of explaining bad schools

Not sure what this story is supposed to be about. But would observe, that places with the worst schools in America, tend to be in places which Democrats have run for generations. So if anyone wants to make a political statement, about why so many cities have terrible schools, let’s talk about who runs those schools.

As Bruce says correctly it is both those delivering the so called Education as well as the material and objective. When you fold in new “theoretical” learning models like whole language and Common Core the desired outcome is not competence, but the opposite. Limited vocabulary, no mastery of real skills needed to have an impact in the workforce and turning out graduating classes that even after 13 years in their “care” cannot read or write.

IN many state constitutions the role of providing this “Education” is assigned to a particular entity o oversee it and potentially to provide during the educational journey a functional, literate and well prepared individual who can then move ahead in life. the joke here is I am sure many will say “well you need to go to college” to get real skills. Sure, a bunch of Professors (if you are lucky) teaching a subject they have never worked in their entire lives, it is all theory. In the “head hunting” world this is why College is referred to as the “new high school” as they know full well the educational level of the vast majority of HS grads is sub par, and the only way to even have a chance at someone who can add value is to require in many cases a Colege diploma as an entry point for better jobs.

So post your silly pictures, by doing so you actually exemplify exactly what he is saying. Education is not educating people they are indoctrinating them and they have by and large a stranglehold on the systems

In Pol Pot’s Cambodia they asked if you spoke French and shot you if you said yes. Also they shot people who wore glasses because it meant they might be educated.

No, I believe this is a picture of the latest innovation now raging through our schools. The Education Establishment promises that results will be better than in the past. This new method incorporates all the latest thinking from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. Unfortunately, the training manual is 287 pages long and cannot be provided here.
