Texas is now purple. A 3 point win for Cruz proves it. Beto is all the Rats have for 2020 and he's going to have to run for POTUS. He can lie his way into the WH just like Hussein did. If he lowers his sights and takes on Cornyn he'll win. Moral victories don't count unless you're a Democrat. Fla./Ga. governors races had no business being so close. I hope Trump enjoys slapping around house Democrats because he'll have to.
Beto’s not going to do squat in primaries. On a good day, he’ll carry some college towns.
He burned through more than $50M, some of which could have gone to help other candidates. He isn’t exactly the Dems’ favorite son. I think his political career is over. Very few losers can make a comeback in state-wide races.
Cruz nearly lost because he’s Cruz. Trump dragged is sorry as over the finish line and now owns him. I bet, though, we’ll see him cross Trump before the end of the year. Hope not, but I have zero respect or expectations regarding Cruz. Cornyn? He should be replaced. He trots out 2nd amendment legislation like election props, raises money on it, then forgets it once back in DC. Overall, put up good candidates, they win. Not just Texas, but across the US, we need better, Trump Republicans.

I wouldn’t put too much into how close he Cruz win was. He was outspent by a bundle. Take a look at the margin Gov. Abbott ran up. That is more indicative of Texas still being a solid Red State.
That is how I see it. Abbot won by a lot. Bob showed what Hollywood money can do. I wouldn’t be very surprised if Cornyn quits in 2020.
Cornyn is a “Leader” in the do-nothing-but-Judges GOPee Senate.

Texas is not purple. Cruz only won by single digits because he was hated by both Trump supporters and the left. No democrat won any statewide election.
