What is The Pocket Shot? Well, it is what I call a modern-day sling shot, but a little cooler, has an interesting design and is quite portable but make no mistake, this is not a toy!
Let's get the statistics out of the way first: The Pocket Shot is a closed pouch made of latex with a base and locking ring that compresses the latex ends. This design allows for a solid grip on the front end and a clear line of projection for your ammunition in this case a steel slug.
Pocket Shot claims that it has a projection rate of 350 feet per second, and while we did not actually use a chronograph I can say that we had to seriously tone down the amount of pull force we were using, because this little thing is deceivingly powerful. I hope the faral class doesnt find out.
Hope it doesn’t come to this

I’m sure it’s illegal to have in New Jersey.
I have a ticket, a court summons and a case that I lost..
... in connecticut....
.. for playing with a slingshot in the woods behind High Rock Range.
So yeah.. this stuff happens.
Sling shot don’t poke someone’s eye out...people poke someone’s eye out.
OK I want one. No, I want two. One for each car. Maybe three—my golf bag could use one. My mother bought me the first Wham O slingshot in the late ‘50’s. It had a white plastic handle with an ammo container in the butt of the handle. A surgical rubber sling with a leather pouch. I was pretty accurate with ball bearings and would use a pinch of BB’s for the scattershot effect.
I remember something similar in the early 1960s in MECHANICS ILLUSTRATED in which a slingshot is made with a special pocket to use lead bird shot. It worked at close range.

Jeez, it reminds me of a female condom.
On the other hand 350 FPS is quite a lot of velocity (about 250 mph).
I wonder how durable the latex is over time. Surgical tube slingshots oxidize over the course of a couple of years.
Ugh, I hope the a-holes from Antifa don’t see these things...
Looks interesting. Wonder if it’s as accurate as the old Wrist Rockets ... they were good for knocking varmints off of power lines ;-)
