I suppose that this isn't in very good taste right now, but the song was bouncing through my mind, so I wanted to share it.

(If I had a dollar for every gender, I'd have two dollars. And a bunch of counterfeit ones.)

I know I’m old because the thread title alone instantly made me think of the song.

sounds like a loony lefty to me ...That was back in the day when you could be satirical without being considered crazy.

I’d never heard of him. Seems very talented - was he an Abbie Hoffman sort of guy?

He was a lefty but never of the radical kind. He's from an era when you could be a liberal and still have a sense of humor. He was a doctoral candidate in mathematics at Harvard but I don't think he ever got his PhD.
After Harvard he worked at Los Alamos and for the NSA. I heard an interview on PBS once long ago where he said that his major accomplishment at the NSA was inventing the Jello shot. A worthy accomplishment if you ask me. He eventually left the NSA and was drafted into the army. G.d pity his sergeant.
