As we toast Megyn Kelly on her departure from NBC and sip our Trump Schadenfreude (which tastes like Diet Coke with a slightly stronger New York accent) let us also enjoy watching NBC pay $69 million or so in exit fees to the 21st century's version of Pink Lady and Jeff.
Kelly was a lawyer who joined Fox News as a reporter and worked her way to an anchor post. They promoted her to prime-time. She was doing fine until the first Republican presidential debate in August 2015.
She picked a fight with Donald John Trump. He ate her up and spit her out like a wad of gum. The transcript shows she broke a rule. A lawyer never asks a question in court that she does not know the answer to.
President Trump used three words to annihilate her.
KELLY: Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter. However, that is not without its downsides, in particular, when it comes to women. You’ve called women you don’t like “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals.”
(LAUGHTER)
TRUMP: Only Rosie O’Donnell.
(LAUGHTER)The audience was laughing at her. At this point, Kelly should have moved on. Nevertheless, she persisted.
KELLY: No, it wasn’t.

All she did was defend someone who loved DIANA Ross and wanted to dress like her on Halloween - to complete the costume the person wanted to wear blackface. Myegn said the person was not acting derogatory- NBC had an excuse to fire her and used it.

I'll bet no one in NBC legal looked closely at her contract before they pulled the trigger. That says they either made a $69 million mistake or they really hated her.
They really hated her. Apparently she really went of on Matt Lauer, like a pitbull on a chicken, wouldn’t let go. Her colleagues hated her for that (they loved Matt); and they never got over it.

I normally turn off my morning news whenever Geraldo shows up. But a couple of weeks ago I left it on just long enough to hear him say he told Trump to invite Kanye West and Jim Brown to the White House.
He an Juan Williams are living examples of how affirmative action went horribly astray.
