The blue wave? Try a decency Tsunami

For most of the year, the media and punditry has been talking about the Blue Wave in the midterm elections, meaning for those less politically attuned, that the Democrats were going to gain big this fall…. There was, for the most part of the year, a very solid argument to be made to expect that the Democrats would gain significantly this fall, and at the very least, take over the house....

the ‘blue wave’ is tidy bowl cleaner as it swirls the commode before being dumped into the sewer

There is a significant fact being missed in all the “Blue Wave” media noise.

Most of the bitter Never Trumpers will not be in the Congress next year. A lot of people like Flake-Corker-Ryan-McCain will be gone.

If the GOP holds the US House, and wins more seats in the US Senate, the next Congress is going to be a much more friendly place for President Trump

True but I fear that Myth Romney will pick up the slack with relish.

I don't think so, the game has changed since Kavanaugh. Mitt will be assimilated. The McCains and Flakes are gone.

I’ll go on the record with this prediction. Given that the rats are both relentless and shameless, if they come close to taking the House, but just fall a little short they, backed up by the media, will be howling about how “fairness” requires power sharing arrangements. Trent Lott was stupid enough to fall for it in 2000, so they’ll figure no harm in trying again

The GOP will have a lot more seats in the Senate... so while Mitt may join, it won’t be 51-49... I expect it to be 57-43 or more...

When you the divide is 51-49, Myth can pick up the slack, if it 45-55, Myth matter not so much

Exactly... After the midterms, there will be 2-3 senators we will need to worry about... Mitt, Murkowski and Collins....

But we will have far more than a 3 seat advantage...

And we will have dumped Flake, Forker and McCain...

Romney is a go along to get along kind of guy. He is no McCain, a fire breathing dragon anxious to kill his friends and make nice with his enemies.
Romney tries to portray himself as a peace maker, a statesman, above the fray and anxious to bring everyone together.
He will be dismayed by the Democrats and will, I predict, find himself in the first real conflict of his life by opposing Democrat initiatives.

We will see how Romney plays out... But I definitely do not put him in the McCain camp... He is an establishment guy... but not the same as McCain in terms of things.

He will probably play nice with others as long as he doesn’t see a way for him to gain by not doing so... but that’s frankly most politicians.

With all of the physical attacks and confrontations of Republicans, I want a “red wave.” I want to see the Democratic Party crushed. I want revenge for all the politics of personal destruction.

If Democrats and their minions was blood in the street, I hope that it becomes their blood. I don’t advocate violence, but political revenge.

I have never been this angry at a political party in my life.

Same here. But also, after a life time of poltical disappointments, realize change happens slowly in US Politics. Even if we only make a poltical 1st down this Nov, instead of scoring a touch down, I will control my rage until 2020.

There are only 8 Republican seats in the “Class of ’18” Republican Senate caucus. Just to get to 50% of the total “Class of ’18,” the Republicans would have to net a pick up 9 seats this November . . . which would put them in filibuster proof territory as long as the RINOs are on board.

If you want to really think big, the average of the Republican caucus winnings in ’14 and ’16 is 22 seats - which, if exceeded by one this year, would give them a two-thirds majority. Veto proof, if that mattered - which it wouldn’t, since the House Republicans will be happy even to keep a bare majority in November - let alone a two-thirds majority. But it would make it possible to convict an impeachment (of, say, a Ninth Circus judge) by the House . . .

But we haven’t even kept the House yet - VOTE! The body politic needs to rebuke the Democrats soundly!

REMEMBER THE KAVANAUGH! (hearings)

I guess we will see. My money is on Myth to be the first Republican to break rank from President Trump on most every issue. It's going to be hard for him to overcome a lifetime of occupying the Rockefeller-wing of the Republican Party.

I have expected 6+ before Kavanaugh and if the winds blew just right they could hit double digits... kavanaugh and the general left wing insanity have definitely pushed the winds closer and closer to just right.
