The artwork hanging in the White House depicts the US president drinking with his Republican predecessors
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, unless its a shredded Banksy, obviously, which is worth around £1m. But how to put a value on the majestic artwork Donald Trump was revealed to have gracing the wall outside the Oval Office, as eagle-eyed viewers of 60 Minutes spotted?
So far, we know of two other artworks that Trump has: that Photoshopped picture of his inauguration crowd (dude, let it go), and the electoral college map. It is no wonder Trump wanted to spruce the place up in his own way, given that he referred to the White House as a dump. I still cackle at this, given its sheer, disparaging rudeness like how when Location, Location, Locations Phil shows a couple around a three-bedroom semi with a north-facing garden, Kirstie mugs to the camera and draws an imaginary knife across her throat....

That one’s actually amusing in a subtle way. All eyes are on Andrew Jackson, of all people. If there’s one Democrat that Democrats hate, it’s him. Running a close second would be Lyndon Johnson, and look who’s gazing raptly at him with big goofy grins.
Obama is missing a Bong in his hand, Bill Clinton should be having his cigar at his lips puffing smoke, and Kennedy is missing Marlin Monroe leaning on his right shoulder.
The idiot author of this article had not one good thing to say about each president in the painting. When I looked at it, I easily recognized every single one of them. I think they are very well done.
Washington’s portrait doesn’t belong there. He did not belong to a party. I would think LBJ and JFK in the same room would be uncomfortable as most experts think Johnson had him killed.
Just like his supposed legacy!
The Guardian is beyond wackjob.
Not even worth worrying about.
Pretty much the most influential, highest circulation newspaper on Earth. Plenty to worry about.
Hey! That is great work! Seriously, it is fabulous. ... And it is driving the left ever further over the edge, taking the Democrats off their lying message. That makes it brilliant, too!
And... from right to left in the background, starting with Coolidge it is
Harding, Hoover, Taft, Garfield(or Hayes), Hayes(or Garfield) Chester Arthur, perhaps Andrew Johnson, and... Grant.
This is tableau like the last scene in “Titanic” the “shades in the background—ghosts”.
Now, here’s a silly painting. it’s Obama’s official portrait (really). It looks like he’s being slowly attacked by foliage. ..................................... Gotta admit, he looks sweet. I’m sure it would impress those who saw him as being a great world leader. Mean while enemies were shuttering in their bunkers ROTFLTAO.
There is a reason art critics don’t own any art that most people love. If a painting is a forrest, most people know, see and appreciate the beauty of the forrest, but the art critic is too busy dissecting the trees to notice the forrest.
Huh.
In the middle painting in Post #45, of Democrats, the artist has the same obscure woman in the background, in the same outfit, striding towards the table as in the Republican painting.
The artist seems to have a limited number of templates.
Don’t get me wrong; I still think the portaits are good.
Grant at Cold harbor, I did a pencil sketch of that years ago. A good man, but he put his trust in bad people.
Looks like Dubya has a soft drink too. I don't believe he partook in alcohol either.
Was that hanging in the White House, too?
What’s Lincoln drinking?
Blood?
