California federal judges ruling against Stormy Daniels' defamation lawsuit also ordered her to pay Trumps legal fees. This means that the useful-idiot Trump resisters who donated to Stormy's crowdfunding are paying Trumps legal fees. HA HA HA HA HA!

I fully admit that when I heard this observation on a podcast while driving home, I grinned and giggled aloud at it...one can only imagine the reaction of the Moonbats who donated to that "cause"...

I imagine that the attorneys fees were sanctions accessed under Rule 11. I heard that Daniels is appealing the case. If the 9th Circuit affirms the District Court, which is likely, the sanctions will stand. In my experience, appeals courts sometimes look at the formula under which the amount of the sanctions were calculated, but they are loath to reverse them entirely. In the meantime, if Daniels does not post a bond for a stay pending appeal, Trump can start collecting his damages at once. I always ask for and usually get a bond of 150% of the amount of the sanctions for a stay pending appeal.

Keep your eye on what happens next, and specifically if Avenatii remains as her counsel or not. At the beginning of this case, Trump's lawyers sent Avanattii a long letter, probably five or six pages, explaining why the case had no merit, and offering to accept a dismissal and walk away, waiving their claim for attorney's fees against Daniels. The offer would typically expire within ten days or just before some pretrial deadline. I've been through this countless times. At that point, Avenatti had an ethical and legal duty to tell Daniels of the settlement offer and advise her of the risk she was exposed to if the case continued. Once the court awarded sanctions, Avenatti again had a duty to tell Daniels that she would be liable for the full cost of Trump's legal fees in defending the appeal, even if the original award were reduced to only $1.
I would guess that the attorney's fees Daniels is now liable for to Trump are in the 550K to 1M range. She now has a claim against Avenatti for presumably advising her to turn down the walk-away offer and continue with the case. This puts Avenatti in a conflict. If you are Trump's counsel, you have to ponder whether to raise that issue and force Avenatti out of the case. If your opponent's counsel is a bumbler, then he's the guy you want. Just let him do his thing, and the odds are in your favor. Why force him out, only to be replaced by a competent counsel?
So, Freepers, if you see Avenatti continuing in this case, you can take that as a judgment against his competence made by Trump's legal team who know him well enough.

Trump also needs to go after Avenatti’s law license! He may find support from Stormy on this issue.
