Deep sixing the Deep state should mean re-vamping the federal bureaucracies, especially the law enforcement agencies such as FBI, DEA, DOJ from top to bottom. When weaponized, these are the most dangerous agencies to our republic. It won’t do any good to get rid of the current crop of criminals and replace them with new criminals. We need legislation and EOs to reorganize and reign them in.
1. Transparency. Not getting documents is outright obstruction. Secret courts are a big problem even when going after terrorists because as we have seen, one person’s political opponent can be considered a terrorist. How can anyone make a case for the Star Chamber.
2. Accountability. All Federal and State employees should be subject to meaningful review. That means, it should be easier to fire them, prosecute them criminally and civilly.
3. Fidelity. These people take an oath to defend the Constitution but IMO they have the least respect for the Constitution that any other group of Americans. They want to “resist” and “subvert” it by violating the average citizens civil rights. If any of these people use unethical or unconstitutional means of obtaining evidence, cases must be immediately dismissed and investigators and prosecutors must be punished. Why isn’t Andrew Weisman in prison for withholding exculpatory evidence?
Agree. Get rid of cop unions and all of that becomes easier.
