It a complete disgrace that an American movie refuses to recognize such an American triumph, but, instead, has sacrificed it on the altar of political correctness and globalism
On October 12, a new movie, First Man, will debut in theaters across the United States. Already it is highly anticipated, and some critics believe it will be a contender for a variety of Oscar nominations.
It received very positive reviews from attendees at the Venice Film Festival. Unfortunately, the much-ballyhooed movie is not historically accurate.
I haven’t been to a movie theater since 2008...And don’t plan on going again...
It could be considered an international effort. Where did the electronics of the Moon Lander come from? (Made in Japan, Germany, Mexico, China, Indonesia???) OK, if the nuts and bolts were made in China, it would have shaken apart before it got there, that’s given.
Actually, I’m a little surprised at Hollywood for making this movie at all.
It will remind people (or teach them for the first time) that America was once bold and adventurous; American men did some very, very outstanding things while facing the unknown and extreme danger.
The Mercury/Gemini/Apollo missions was born of and carried out by the Greatest Generation.
It is an example of what Sarah Palin called ‘American exceptionalism’, and President Trump admonishes to ‘Make America great again’.
I know they PC’s it up, but the reality is we succeeded in taking on an extraordinary goal of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to Earth.
At least they didnt make one of the three a female or at the very least a gay man.
Keep up the pressure and they can add that flag.
If Canada wanted to make their own docu-drama about the US manned space program, there may be a story to be told about AVRO and their engineers at Langley in the early years. This movie is cultural appropriation of US’ successes in space.
Yep, you all crapped up a blockbuster for nothing. The American flag scene could have been as short as 8 seconds, but nope, gotta heel to the [McCain's word for Asians].
"Come on, it's a fashion show. No one performs; it's not like a music show. What straight black man sits there and watches the Oscars? Show me one." - Chris Rock, host of the 77th Oscars
Where have all our heroes gone?
Are there any who remain?
No?
Then it is time to leave.
The corruption is complete.
All Hollywood cares about is manipulating a younger generation by not including the flag. The Moon landing had an American flag! Period! But too many people believe what they see in a movie and successive generations will be unaware of the flag as this movie doesnt include it and students arent being taught much true American history anymore. And Im sure the Canadian Gosling didnt care.
As Chuck Yeager said thats not the Neil Armstrong I knew.
They don’t ever just PC it. They do this to change perception of what we were. They make these movies as propaganda.
The space race was a challenge. An America-first challenge. And the guys who went to the moon were for the most part military pilots, pioneers at jet aircraft and carrier landings. They were engineers They were Eagle Scouts academy guys. And patriots.
I predict this movie runs over all of that. Tom Hanks did a great job with Apollo 13. But then he called out pres Clinton for being disgusting and he was out. He was suddenly body snatched making crap movies and sucking up
This movie like all others in the past ten years will be propaganda. The Clintons took over the movie industry like everything else.
Forget it. And forget planting the flag. It will be made so that when people remember that we put the flag up, Antifa will be calling for a new space race to take it down.
There is a hate America sentiment alive and well in Hwood. Megan mccain take note
Universal Pictures is an American company which won’t acknowledge an American flag? Shame on them. It’s almost like it’s their way of “taking a knee.”
Tgey won’t add the flag. And don’t be sure there won’t be gays
hollywood sucks!
All in the timing. And now this movie is to be released on the original Columbus Day, with a title plainly alluding to Adam.
First man to walk on the earth: Adam
First man to walk on the moon: Neil
"Ideal Man"
138 min. $70 mil budget. Hollyweird unwittingly at it again. The script isn't Hollywood's or NASA's.
Twelve men have stood on the moon. All Americans. The mission synched with The Nine Days, Columbia splashing down on Tisha B'Av. Astronauts picked up by the See-King numbered 66.
Ever notice the number? 2711, during cycle 7, ahead of the change to 2711 in the 8th. Details. There's something for everybody.
“But then he called out pres Clinton for being disgusting and he was out. He was suddenly body snatched making crap movies and sucking up”

Nonsense———he still is an extremely successful actor/producer etc.
.
Won’t watch it. Keep it up Holly-Weird
The Apollo program was a part of the "space race," which was John F. Kennedy's response to the Soviet Union's Sputnik satellite. It was literally a race between the United States and the Soviet Union; between Kennedy and Kruschev; between Yuri Gagarin and John Glenn; between the achievements of capitalism versus communism.
Astronaut Frank Borman called the moon landings "just a battle in the Cold War." It was not humanity coming together for the future of mankind.
