This whole debacle just goes to show how far removed the DC political class is from mainstream society.

They show nothing but contempt for the president and his supporters because he is not from their club. The club that sells out the average American on a daily basis.

They live and function inside of an exclusive bubble.

"McCain's funeral" should be as big a joke - or meme, since this is the meme age - as Franco's hospitalization/death was. Did SNL do a skit last night on this endless memorial service for Good Ol' "Ace?" If so, I apologize; if not, why not?

If anyone’s soul needed praying over it was McCain. Who else was bitter enough to dis-invite people from his own funeral?

No Class with the Dems

Two high-profile funerals turned into shameless displays of bashing Trump, ogling asses, and groping titties.

The McCain funeral was just one big trolling event by the hard core leftists trolling President Trump. As is so typical these miscreants just wanted to use McCains and Franklins funeral as an excuse to troll and thus bash President Trump and they proved yet again as usual that they have no real class or decency at all.

Until the progressive-left moved in to politicize them, memorials were held to pray over the dead, asking God Almighty to show mercy on their souls.

I guess it first needs to be established whether the progressive left believes there is a God Almighty or whether to them, religion is just another cheap hustle.

I think we all know the answer to this.

The theatrics associated with McCain’s passing reached a high water mark in classless political nonsense that may never be surpassed. Considering the way the spoiled admiral’s brat treated others from the time he was young it may have been a fitting tribute.

But the appropriate time to pray for God to have mercy on McCain’s dark soul was likely months ago. We are left with the very strong appearance that his “death” was carefully timed for political expedience.

It seems very almost certain that John McCain has been “brain dead” for months with his body kept from rotting by using a feeding tube and artificial respirator. All the while his family, staff and the press had been trying to maintain the illusion that he was still conscious of what was going on, by releasing comments supposedly from him about President Trump and current affairs.

This has been a sick three ring circus of nonsense that many were not sure would ever end. A couple days before “his passing” there were stories that McCain himself had decided to “discontinue his treatment for brown cancer”. What a joke! Keeping a brain dead corpse alive by artificial means is not treatment for anything. People who are in a vegetative state are not the ones who make the decision to pull their own plug.

It is just a giant relief that this sick nonsense is over and it has finally been acknowledged that his miserable soul has left this earth.

Is that Cathedral going to loose it’s non profit status?
The funeral was too political even if it was veiled.

"How prog-left brass ‘Cat Balloued' Senator John McCain’s Memorial."

Now, there's a film reference that some millennials might not get. And I am referring to the famous transformation scene in the 1965 Jane Fonda movie, where Academy winning co star Lee Marvin transforms from a hopeless derelict drunk, into a nattily dressed professional gunslinger.

So, who is being transformed? McCain or Bush? The author makes some salient references to the notorious Wellstone memorial, so perhaps the politicization of the entire affair to the level of absurdity is the point of the original reference. Regardless, it does bring back memories, and I will try and watch Cat Ballou again on some channel or other and have a good laugh.

Poor McCain was a petty person to the end and then some.

How is it that a funeral has now become a event to use for political purposes? Is that what the family really wants to do? I understand that even Aretha Franklin's funeral had to take shots at Trump.

Instead of celebrating one’s life and mourning a loss these two high profile funerals were used in a shameless way to Bash Trump and in McCain's case some sort of revenge spectacle.

In the course of time McCain's funeral will be seen as what it was a grudge funeral with no honor at all. In my opinion McCain gave the insult to his heritage and did not stand for Truth, Honor, and Country. It's a Blasphemy for him to be buried at the Naval Academy with such brave and honorable men.

For some reason, the funeral of John McCain reminded me of this:

“The Prophecy is a 1995 American fantasy horror-thriller film starring Christopher Walken... The film tells the story of the Archangel Gabriel (Walken) and his search for an evil soul on Earth, and a police detective who unknowingly becomes caught in the middle of an angelic civil war.

“...finds the obituary of a recently deceased Korean War veteran and war criminal named Colonel Arnold Hawthorne...

“Meanwhile, in Chimney Rock, Arizona, Simon finds the dead veteran awaiting burial and sucks the evil soul out of the body...”

From the story: Those in political power were not exempt. At various points throughout his long career, John confronted policies and practices that he believed were unworthy of his country. To the face of those in authority, John McCain would insist: We are better than this. America is better than this.

Those in political power are not exempt. For the first time in history, two former presidents sling mud at the POTUS during their imitations of eulogies. The mud slinging was unworthy of the former leaders, unworthy of our country, and not a practice we would want to see repeated. We are better than this. America is better than this.

It was a soviet-style propaganda event. I was alive in the early 80’s when Brezhnev, Andropov and Chernenko all died in rapid succession. Reminds me of their funerals
