Mark was a retired cop. Having seen the post mortem picture I can tell everyone unequivocally that he was beaten severely before a bullet entered his brain. It is extremely unlikely that he shot himself. Being left handed, the bullet entered his skull high on the forehead toward his right eye and exited almost straight-line out the back of his head. ... He was murdered.

In an extraordinary echo of events described in the just-released book The Lost Boys of Bird Island, co-author Mark Minnie was reportedly found dead on Monday this past week in Port Elizabeth.
It is not clear yet whether Minnie’s death is seen to be a suicide, but the book details two apparent suicides in the course of an investigation Minnie conducted into paedophilia among highly placed politicians in the late 1980s — suicides that, in the analysis of the book, begin to look much like planned assassinations then set up to look like suicide.
There were reports soon after his death that a suicide note had been found, but also that the gun retrieved from the scene at a smallholding on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth was not Minnie’s. His co-author, Chris Steyn, told News24 that she and Minnie had received threatening phone calls in the weeks before his death. Publishers Tafelberg said that Minnie was following up new leads in the story of alleged abuse of male youths on Bird Island that he and Steyn told in the book.
“He was excited about the publication of the book and the disclosure of allegations which, according to him, had been covered up for 30 years,” said Tafelberg. “He said that the book was ‘only the beginning’.”

August 13th, 2018, a very good man of genuine courage died. There is an official claim that he died by suicide. But that does not comport with the man he was nor the life he was leading.
Perhaps it was the very difficult childhood he endured which caused him as a police detective to work so tenaciously on the South African pedophile ring in the nineteen eighties, a ring which exploited young boys for aberrant sexual behaviors. He co-authored a book thirty years later exposing the truth of that nest of deviants. Such deviants are still a plague upon societies as a world-wide pedophile cabal uses children for sick, perverted behaviors and as a means to empower their political, social, economic, and religious influences infecting Western Civilization. Their deviancy cannot be normalize so they have leverage over individuals when linked to such aberrant behaviors.
In the nineteen eighties, Mark Minnie focused upon the criminality of such deviants. He exposed the surface of a very nasty sewer and when he decided to write the truth of this sewer, his life came to an abrupt end. He was at the pinnacle of his life, with a soon to be best selling book launched in August, 2018, and a sequel planned to expose even more.
Suicide is a cowardly act, using a permanent solution for temporary problems. Mark Minnie was no coward. Retired policeman, Mark Minnie was a man with longer vision than the temporary. As a member of South African special military forces, Mark Minnie served his fellow countrymen because it was the right thing to do. Having committed to exposing the evil of pedophilia, he would not have abandoned his work with a suicide.
The circumstances of Mark Minnie’s death are, at the very least, suspicious. A renowned forensic investigator has been brought into this case, to examine the particulars. Final judgment of the issues should be suspended until the South African Police work and the forensic investigation is completed. Those who knew Mark Minnie over his lifetime do not believe he took a cowards exit from the challenge he chose to engage. We thank the South African Police for their efforts in investigating the suspicious death of a fellow officer.
Rest in Peace, brother Mark. You will always be a hero and your challenge will not go wanting.
