"This November 6 election is very much a referendum on not only me, it's a referendum on your religion, it's a referendum on free speech and the First Amendment. It's a referendum on so much," Trump told the assemblage of pastors and other Christian leaders gathered in the State Dining Room, according to a recording from people in the room.
"It's not a question of like or dislike, it's a question that they will overturn everything that we've done and they will do it quickly and violently. And violently. There is violence. When you look at Antifa -- these are violent people," Trump said, describing what would happen should his voters fail to cast ballots. "You have tremendous power. You were saying, in this room, you have people who preach to almost 200 million people. Depending on which Sunday we're talking about."
Evangelicals have provided a solid block of support for Trump, even amid the scandals involving alleged sexual affairs. After news of those purported encounters emerged, his standing among white evangelicals did not slip. But inviting the leaders to the White House only days after the President was newly implicated by his longtime personal lawyer's guilty plea underscored the degree to which Trump is trying to keep his supporters on his side....

There will be violence from the left.
No matter who wins.
It’s what they do.
That’s right. Traditional Christians now have bull’s eyes on them.
“When you look at Antifa — these are violent people”
True.
The next time the Democrats get power, they will do these things:
Of course, the CNN headline makes it sound like Trump is threatening violence if the GOP loses.
Slime.
He could have said, their elected officials are even advocating for it. Which of course is true.
My Permit To Carry renewal card arrived in the mail today.
:-)
That was my take from the CNN title also. President Trump was merely stating the fact that the Left is unhinged. And given their rhetoric and antiFA brownshirt wing - violence is the primary instrument in their toolkit.
He conveys the urgency of conservative political engagement like no other Republican in my lifetime. I couldnt be happier.
this why we as conservatives need to embrace those who have walked away from the demacrat party as part of the walk away movement and realize that of these people we might not agree with them on some policy issues but we do agree that the demacrat party as it is made up today should never be allowed power again.
The title makes it out that violence will come from Trump
The President speaks the truth.
MAGA!
Which serves to prove that what he really said is right.
And if you use it, you will lose it (and your so-called Freedom).
There isn’t hardly a hint of moral difference these days between Judges, DA’s and Perps.
I agree with Trump, violence is coming against Christians and those that stand with them politically.
Thank you Mr. President!
I think you’re right.
As some previous comments sort of pointed out:
The real violence will come if the LEFTISTS lose.
If the leftists win, most of the Democrats will sit back and let Pelosi and Schumer and Maxine do their fighting for them.
If they lose, they will take to the streets and attack everything they even incorrectly assume MIGHT be Rebublican or conservative.
I do not believe he is exaggerating at all. What a warning.
I’m not abandoning Trump.
He’s basically kept his promises and I recognize MSM hit pieces when I see them.
I will not be manipulated by the liberals.
