Before Michael Brown was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, this security footage from Ferguson Market and Liquor showed Brown stealing merchandise and assaulting a store employee. Skip to 1:13

Four years later, this brand new article form the St. Louis Post-Dispatch says:
“Protesters believe that the surveillance clip mischaracterized Brown.”
The protestors aren’t saying that the footage was edited, altered, or changed in any way.
Instead, they are saying that the footage mischaracterized Brown.
They are wrong. Instead, the footage shows exactly what Michael’s Brown’s character was like.
The protestors have also made the following demands of the store:
Address Michael Brown Jr.s character.
Close the store for three days on the anniversary of his death.
Create a scholarship in his name.
Find ways to interact and give back to the community.
Stop selling Dormin, a sleeping capsule, and other items that can be misused to get high.
Retain a black-owned security company to protect the store.
The same article states:
… the store ultimately agreed to all of the requests by Wednesday, other than closing the store for three days. Instead, he said, the store would close on the anniversary of Browns death and provide a free barbecue the day before.
The store never did anything wrong in the first place, so there was no rational reason for the protestors to make these demands, and there was no rational reason for the store to cave in to their demands.
Here’s a photograph of people protesting against the store:
The caption under the photograph says:
“Protesters block the West Florissant Avenue entrance to Ferguson Market & Liquor as four Ferguson police officers in two police vehicles keep watch at the entrance to the market Friday, Aug. 17, 2018. Photo by David Carson”
Racist shakedown...
The triumph of arrogant stupidity!
Michael Brown is exactly where he deserves to be.
The Indian owners might as well close now, because they will be closing later.
It’s worth going to the source and reading the comments.
One of the protesters stated "If these racist owners would just give free stuff to good little kids like Michael, there wouldn't be any rioting or looting!"
If they watch the film clip, they would see that they are wrong. If they still protest, they really are idiots.
Move here. We can always use another convenience store.
He wasn’t “an employee”, he was the owner.
“Keep watch”? The rioters/protestors/thugs are BLOCKING the vehicle entrance - they should be pushing the thugs off of this!
They want attention, but there is a new sheriff in town.
I’ve often said that anytime there is some kind of disturbance among police and blacks all you see is cell phones held up recording videos. Where are the videos from Ferguson?
A few years after the events they figure the public has forgotten the details. Not us.
They have no right to make any demands. They need to go home, stop making babies that they turn into criminals, learn a skill, such as ditch digging or sweeping, and get a job and shut up and stop blaming their self-inflicted pathologies on Whitey.
By agreeing to the demands, the store guarantees that there will be worse demands next year.
y’know, when it all Blows A Gut, and the Big-Time civil disobedience kicks in, and the truckers go on strike, banks take a holiday, and generally things go krazy with dozens of mini-riots, and numerous stores close, and supply lines to the grocery stores get unpredictable and unreliable, WHO are the people who will be hurt worst?
City dwellers, and minorities dependent on “the dole,” that’s who.
Country folks can ride it out better for a while, but city folks will have a Very Bad Time — and I think become largely ungovernable and completely chaotic.
You can’t fix stupid...
Well, their 15 minutes of fame has passed, and they’re just trying to attract all the cameras back to Ferguson.
Either that, or their cousins need a new flat-screen TV. No racist perps left, so they’ll just attack the victims.
Besides, it’s a liquor store, and they’re thirsty.
