Chuck Todd said Wednesday morning if a "functional Washington" existed that Congress would be holding investigations into the Trump presidency and looking for ways to draw up articles of impeachment. He also advised outgoing House Speaking Paul Ryan to leave behind a group of Republicans to "start an investigation" in the House Judiciary Committee to probe Trump.
"You now have a president of the United States accused of committing a federal crime," Todd said on Wednesday's Today Show. "The way a functional Washington would work is that Congress, there is a process here. The sitting president is accused of a crime. The Judiciary Committee in the House of Representatives would begin to look to see if there's enough evidence to start investigating and drawing up articles of impeachment, but this is not a functional Congress. This is a Congress controlled by Republicans."

"I do think Paul Ryan needs to think long and hard about the future of the Republican Party. This is your last chance off this train," Todd said. … "I think he could actually do the party a favor and just start the procedure in the House Judiciary Committee to give some home, to give some place for Republicans getting nervous to say, 'Hey, you know what, let's start an investigation and we'll go from there."

The more the MSM and the Rabid Trump haters talk impeachment, the much more likely those non traditional MAGA voters will engage this fall... because the GOP sure isn’t given them any reason to.
If the general public are going to get to see 2+ months of left wing crazy between now and November, between the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings and the Impeach Trump crazy... GOP will not only hold the house but gain 20 seats.

Can we even imagine how great our country would be doing if Donald Trump did not have to wake up every single day to the greatest coordinated onslaught ever faced by a US President? What a man. I don’t care what he did 10 years ago or more. What a brave dedicated soul he is now when we need him.

He has treated politicians and their media hangers-on with exactly as much respect as they deserve - which is almost none. They are the losers in society, not the ‘winners’ their pathetic egos want them to believe they are. TV news anchors = generally low knowledge make-up drenched copy readers. Politicians = experts in the field of bull**itting. That pretty much is as accurate as it gets. These are low value narcissists who actually think they're special. Trump has damaged their egos, and that is primarily why they hate him.
As yourself this. If Trump had run as a Democrat, beat Hillary in the primaries by running to her left, sucked up to the media, and won the Presidency as a liberal ‘reformer’, do you think they'd care what Stormy Daniels said about him, or who he may or may not have paid off because of a previous affair?

We live in a dangerous time if one steps back and examines our current political climate.
“Truth” is now completely different for half of our nation. An intolerable situation for a republic made far worse by the “win at any costs” attitude of the minority and MSM/judicial activists in comparison with the “dignified bi-partisanship patrician attitude’ of the opposition who cannot get out of their way long enough to wield the power of the majority.
The rule of law itself is under attack with the bureaucracy firmly entrenched in the battle lines across the spectrum.
This is very dangerous. The societal upheaval of the 60’s had a major impact on our nation that continues today, but that was a movement outside of our government. What we are witnessing today is a movement that possesses great power in the government itself (bureaucracy and congress), the courts (judicial activism), academia (those who teach shape the future), and the media and culture.
I recall that someone with the name Dan Rather had the goods on George W. Bush. Why do we put up with this trash?
