Pearl Jam shares poster depicting Trump's corpse and a burning White House

A poster for a recent Pearl Jam concert has sparked outrage for depicting the corpse of President Donald Trump.

The band staged a concert to get fans to vote for Democratic Sen. Jon Tester on Monday. To promote the show, bassist Jeff Ament and artist Bobby Draws Skullz drew up some artwork that included graphic imagery of the White House on fire and the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial cracked and breaking.

The artwork also included an image of the corpse of Trump being picked at by a bald eagle while it reaches for a briefcase that appears to have the communist hammer and sickle emblem on it.

In the photo, Sen. Tester is flying above the fray on a tractor while his opponent, Montana Senate Republican candidate Matt Rosendale, is depicted with a lobster claw and holding a sign that reads “Maryland.”(continued)

On a sympathetic note, it must be tough to late-40s-early-50s (like Eddie Vedder), and instinctively know that your best years are far, far behind you.

I'm middle-aged, and just starting to hit the accelerator.

I like bought and paid for musicians — they are so predictable in the stable of “the MAN.” Now and then they are dragged from their stable to act out the cliches of rebellion and make more money for the suits, for “the MAN.” Their whole existence revolves around kissing the butt of “the MAN.” Yum, yum, yum...

That’s just fine and dandy. If Trump drew the same except with Pearl Jam, there would be a crowd with pitchforks at the WH gates.

They’re named after a jam that one of their mothers or grandmothers made with psychedelic ingrediets. ‘Shrooms, I think. Her name was Pearl.

Only got to see STP with the new singer at House of Blues in orlando. Still awesome. Love the Peppers but sometimes they play an “off” set that leaves out a lot of their best tunes. How long ago do you think it was you saw them?

Been awhile. 15 years maybe?

Fishbone tears the stage up, or used to at least. We're all getting older. :-) Best I ever saw from them was a show that probably should have been cancelled due to weather. Opening act couldn't make it, only a couple of dozen people showed up. Prior to the show, Fishbone took a list of requests from the people who made it, then they absolutely blistered the place, one of the better performances that I've seen.

Scott Weiland was still fronting STP. He had a great stage presence. Their set was excellent.

The Peppers must have been off. Flea did a great job - high energy as always - but whoever told Anthony Kiedis that he should sing more ballads should be soundly thrashed.
