Media to Organize Day of Anti-Trump Editorials
Front Page Magazine ^ | August 12, 2018 | David Horowitz

Posted on 08/12/2018 12:18:51 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

I'm confused. How is this different than every other day in the media?

"The dirty war on the free press must end." That's the idea behind an unusual editorial-writing initiative that has enlisted scores of newspapers across America.

Unusual? That's been the same theme that the media has been putting out for a few weeks.

The Boston Globe has been contacting newspaper editorial boards and proposing a "coordinated response" to President Trump's escalating "enemy of the people" rhetoric.

There's been a coordinated campaign against Republicans by the media for around 90 years.

"We propose to publish an editorial on August 16 on the dangers of the administration's assault on the press and ask others to commit to publishing their own editorials on the same date," The Globe said in its pitch to fellow papers.

The key part of that isn't "press", it's "free press".

. A coordinated media apparatus isn't a free press. It's just a press.

As of Saturday, "we have more than 100 publications signed up, and I expect that number to grow in the coming days," Marjorie Pritchard, the Globe's deputy editorial page editor, told CNN.

I expect it to be as universal as in any Communist country.

Instead of printing the exact same message, each publication will write its own editorial, Pritchard said.

"Please express these talking points in your own words." Isn't that just the kind of bot echo chamber that the media claims to be concerned about?

"The impact of Trump's assault on journalism looks different in Boise than it does in Boston," she wrote. "Our words will differ. But at least we can agree that such attacks are alarming."

Also on protecting illegal migration, protesting the anthem and supporting Islamic terrorists.

These obtuse idiots simply can’t see that this type of propaganda proves what President Trump says about them is 100% true. Mind boggling.

It’s different because they don’t usually admit to bias and coordinated attacks.

It won’t work...how can the Left use its mere 90% of the news media, 90% of celebrity culture, and 90% of College faculty to out argue the half or so of the simple software algorithms written by Russian hoodlums? I mean its all fine and good for the Conservatives (who unfortunately are sometimes able to speak without being shouted or beat down or banned from social media) to not be worried about the Russian bots that start BLM pages and the like. They don’t know what its like to try to force Americans to believe complete and utter nonsense and demonstrably untrue propositions.

Just like spoiled toddlers in a supermarket throwing a tantrum in front of everyone. Their opinions and tactics will not change my mind on matters.

The media is having a hissy fit because they were scolded by that mean old President Trump. Obviously, Trump doesn’t understand how important and powerful they are. Trump should have resigned by now and that makes the media look weak. How dare Trump treat them like that. After all, they spent a lot of time and effort making up lies. All that work will go to waste.

How about day of editorials about the killings in Chicago?

Nah....let’s just take what Trump says about the media, and give a big old confirmation to his supporters that he is right!

If I never read their Trump-bashing trash, then why would I bother reading today’s coordinated onslaught on him?

These people are hurting for readership, subscriptions, and probably advertising.

It’s like a “2-for-1 special” at WalMart.

Ganging up only makes them look like a very stupid gang.

Oh my, the ‘free press’ is angry that other people are allowed to exercise First Amendment rights.

What EVER shall we do.

And Trump will control the narrative because they took the bait. LOL!

These obtuse idiots simply can’t see that this type of propaganda proves what President Trump says about them is 100% true. Mind boggling.

What would be revolutionary here is if they each took the time to evaluate and assess journalistic standards and how they are not being upheld in this day and age and to be honest about why.

These so called journalists have no ability to look at themselves objectively and empathically from opposing angles and points of view. So sad as this objectively is what is takes, from my point of view, to report and document journalistically from as neutral point of view as possible. Just reporting the true facts of a situation as purely as possible without bias is the objective to achieve first and they can not do this.

The political commentary journalists should be called out clearly. Sadly they all are only the latter now and none call themselves out as such. Deception, lies, and propaganda is the norm and now they have established a day for what is always the norm. Complete idiots.
