LA is my home town. I love so many things about So Cal.

As a nearly lifelong Angeleno, I very much resonate with that statement. The number of things I love(ed) about SoCal are virtually endless, and cannot be explained to non-natives. Ya gotta be from there.

Never in a million years, did I ever think I'd leave....until I did. I really only left the physical place, though. My SoCal was gone a long time ago.

I hope you're doing well today, and are not going through any sort of post traumatic blues.

Silverlake was once my home neighborhood, and I've shopped in that Trader Joe's market many times. Its stunning to hear that such an incident took place there.

Glad you're okay.

I was thinking of you this morning. Someone close by drove me over. I was interviewed on TV and by two detectives.

Thank you so much for your kind offer.

Whiskey.

Tango.

Foxtrot.

This thread very much reminds me of the Freeper who killed an attacking black bear with his 2 inch pocket knife.

I’m so glad to hear they checked you out. I read of your awful experience last night but could find words of comfort so I choose to pray instead. You have been in my thoughts and prayers again today. I do hope you follow up with another Dr. visit though, after what you have been through it’s better to be safe. You may very need something to help settle your nerves and help you sleep.

...certainly wouldn’t put Trump 45 plates on my car since I know what liberals are like.

I live in the suburbs of east Dallas County, Texas, and have never seen a Trump sticker on any car.

Even Trump Country has its deranged liberals.

California is awful on CCW issuance, and LA County much worse than that.

Not sure how I am yet. I pondered death a lot ... but I wasn’t crazy scared..

I share this. I was mugged at gunpoint, and wasn't even slightly scared. I was actually evaluating if I could take the gun away (he held it out and low).

Anytime fellow Freeper! I'll watch for your TV interviews. Maybe you can replace one of those monsters on the View. 😁

Wek=ll, there was no two inch knife thing in this story.

They guy was on his phone negotiating with the police for 3 hours. The police then drive a big honking’ Police TANK proudly up to TJ’s window. There was a very happy looking LAPD guy up on top behind a clear shield [windshield?] wearing full battle armor. It WAS a beautiful sight.

The shooter FREAKED when that happened. He immediately got in touch with the hostage negotiate and swore about how the police double crossed him. And he told the negotiator: “I’m going to start killing them one by one”. Off the phone he promised he would never hurt us [at 70 I was still on the floor 3 hours later.

You tell me. Who do you believe? The guy that shot his grandmother 6 times and his GF once?

It was a thoroughly bizarre experience.

Are you kidding? Carrying concealed in CA is reserved for the wealthy, celebrities, judges, cops and corrupt politicians. Ya got to have money, influence and or power to rate.

Those running CA couldn’t care less about the tax paying citizens security and or safety. No joke.

BTW. I was interviewed by several TV stations today. I only identified as “Teri”.

If I was you, I would have said, "My name is Bunny. Bunny Slippers."

First of all, that is a really stupid question to be asking the Poster at this point in time.

Is it?

I'd like to know, please tell me when it's OK to ask.
