Good charities? (vanity)
me

So I'm doing a little research on worthwhile charities. And I came across Samaritan's Purse. I read their write-up on Charity Navigator. It all sounded good, until I came across the compensation paid to its CEO. W. Franklin Graham III makes over $600,000 per year!

Can anyone suggest a good charity where the top guys aren't making a fortune?

The Salvation Army seems to be OK. But most of the others pay their top folks insane amounts of money. And that includes the well-regarded Fisher House. I know...they're probably worth it...but something about a charity boss making half a million dollars a year bothers me. So I'd rather avoid those charities.

Our local Salvation Army never asks for money, just canned goods and other foods.

Salvation Army is the big one I donate to.

I contribute to them as well.

I’ve heard good things about Habitat for Humanity.

$600,00

Six hundred bucks doesn't sound like a lot.

Both Salvation Army and Lions Club International have no or minimal executive pay.
Most of the rest range from 50 to 99 percent spent on overhead and salaries.

VFW, Disabled American Vets. Both do what they say they are going to do with the donations.

It should have been $600,000. Russians hackers erased that final zero in an attempt to discredit me.

One simple wish. Foster children post wishes and one simple wish connects them with benefactors like yourself. Be careful. You’ll get hooked like me...;)

That’s an important indicator, regarding how much a charity spends on their charitable mission, vs. how much goes to overhead.

Franklin Graham III makes over $600,00 per year!

The reason it is so low is that he gets about the same from the Billy Graham organization. Two part time jobs and pulling in over a million a year? No thanks.

Billy Graham led an exemplary life and I assume his son does too. I would not hesitate to donate to him or the Salvation Army.

I’ve heard good things about Habitat for Humanity.

Founded by commies. Jimmy Carter is definitely on their right wing fringe.

It’s not low. It’s a typo on my part. I’m going to ask the Mods if they can change it. Graham makes over $600,000 a year from that charity alone. That’s more than half a million dollars per year!

https://backtojerusalem.com/

These Chinese Christians are taking the Gospel of Christ from China, thru Muslim lands, back to it’s starting point, Jerusalem.

These ‘missionaries’ learn basic language skills, for the lands into which they’ll go. Some have already been murdered in the service of Christ the King!

Many Muslims have come to Christ thru Back to Jerusalem. Charity is good; but invest in something for eternity, which will change the world!

There was that time that Ruth had to pull a gun on Franklin.

Billy never tried to live grand out of the donations.

I don’t think Mods can edit a post. I knew what you were saying. I’ve seen the numbers before.
