Anthony Michael Bourdain (1956-2018) grew up in Leonia, New Jersey. His parents had colorful backgrounds in the classical music industry for Columbia Records and with THE NEW YORK TIMES.
Anthony, however, was a free spirit, owned nothing, and he loved wild adventures . In his own words he had nothing until his breakthrough job with CNN suddenly the world opened up before him. He was able to travel, and he became beloved by the world as a travel-chef for CNN.
He was a humble and kind man who touched everyone with his sentimental demeanor. He had nothing to do with the elites and often ate with the staff of the exotic restaurants he frequented. Anthony had captured the hearts of many ordinary people around the world; thus, now they are mourning the loss of such a compassionate soul.

I can see that working for CNN would lead to depression.
If you can’t say anything nice.................LIE.................
Why should I care?
He had an 11 year old daughter whose life will be forever darkened by his suicide. Pure narcissism.
He was a bad dude that just just started to turn on his masters.
Here’s the deal. He spoke freely of his heroin addiction which he said he had conquered. HOWEVER, if you ever watched his show he was always drinking.. drinking.. drinking. It’s called “HALF MEASURES” and it avails us nothing. You must deal with your entire addiction and live your life accordingly.
Anyone who dislikes Clinton and Tarantino can’t be all bad.
Some of his posturing annoyed me, but he was very good at what he did over all.
Thank you. That’s exactly how I feel about people committing suicides leaving behind young survivors. You helped bring that child into the world. Your life is not your own until that child is able to fend for him or herself. Suicide is a mortal sine in general but it’s incredibly selfish when you leave young children to deal with the mess you created.
Depression, addiction. Boo frickin’ hoo.
The seven years he spent traveling the world as host of "No Reservations" on the Travel Channel apparently never happened.
This might explain why. It could be he saw Trump as an elite. I suppose he is. He certainly traveled in the same class. It's also what makes him able and so good at what he's doing. He understands that class all too well.
I don’t think Paula Deen or Rachel Ray thought he was soooo kind. Some smartie-pants freeper called him a greasy line cook.
Why not? it worked out well for Samantha C*** “earning” an award the next day.
"Battle with the Clintons" - well that explains why he committed "suicide".

Apparently Bourdain may have gotten depressed about his girlfriend, who may have been on a fling of sorts at the time.
That was what I was seeing in comments, on a website today.
It seems he had publicly stated he liked this lady, sort of publicly stated they were an item. But then again, he may have somehow introduced some sort of complication, since she also seemed to publicly make some sort of statements herself, which she seems to have retracted since, but which may have indicated some sort of unhappiness about something or other.
Maybe we will know more, as time goes on.
I’m not sure whether there is anything to the speculation, but some people were saying they thought there may have been a correlation.
Or maybe not. There were some who disagreed.
If the reporter didnt watch the Travel Channel then it doesnt exist and never did.
Of course, maybe their college didnt have cable TV or they were smoking so much while studying for their J School exams ...
