The Ultimate John Kennedy Assassination Theory [Updated]
Janitor's view ^ | May 29, 2018 | Reasonmclucus

Posted on 05/29/2018 8:33:59 AM PDT by kathsua

For decades the debate over who killed President John F. Kennedy has involved one group who claims Lee Harvey Oswald did it and another blaming the CIA. They continue to ignore the possibility both claims are correct. The CIA is a spy organization. Some of its agents masquerade as supporters of the enemy so they can get inside enemy organizations.

[A few hours after posting on this subject I thought of a major reason why many of us believe Oswald might have been working for someone else instead of acting on his own. I'll add it as a post script.]

Oswald could easily have been such a covert agent. If so he would have been a logical choice to kill Kennedy. The CIA might have hoped Oswald's apparent support for Cuban President Fidel Castro would cause public opinion to demand retaliation against Castro. Oswald might have planned "to give into" expected intensive interrogation and say the Cuban government had told him to shoot Kennedy.

I don't have any information that Oswald was or wasn't associated with the CIA. Of course the CIA would never admit if he was with the CIA. His previous flirtations with Russia and Cuba might have been efforts to gain information for the CIA. The communists lack of interest in him could have indicated they were suspicious of his motives.

I have always been troubled by the fact that someone with Oswald's background was allowed to be where he was on that fateful day. The previous school year I had done a research paper on the Secret Service. My research indicated that the Secret Service would normally have prevented someone like Oswald from being in a building along the motorcade route.

One fact that wasn't known to the public at the time was that one of the last actions taken by the CIA's predecessor, the OSS, was the killing of General George Patton.

I have no interest in pursuing this theory further I'll leave that decision up to those who are more familiar with the incident than I am.

P.S. We get our beliefs about subjects such as killers from related historical events and from fiction events in television shows and movies. The assassination of John Kennedy didn't fit the pattern of other presidential assassinations and assassination attempts. Presidents Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield and William McKinley were all killed at short range. President Ronald Reagan was shot at short range. Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme tried to shoot President Gerald Ford at close range. The Puerto Ricans who attempted to shoot their way into President Harry Truman's residence wanted to get close enough to kill him.

The assassination of Kennedy fits the pattern of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King who was shot by paid killer James Earl Ray from concealment at a distance with a rifle. Oswald shot Kennedy from concealment at a distance with a rifle. On television and in movies professional killers. generally fire at their intended victims from concealment at a distance with a rifle

Typical presidential assassins seem to want people to know what they have done. John Wilkes Booth killed Abraham Lincoln in front of people attending a play. Professional killers usually want to get away with their crimes so they try to avoid being identified

That was Patton’s attention. It makes sense that they were very afraid of Patton. That was no accident in Mannheim.

Oswald was a communist in high school...source...his hs teacher and his own brother...did the CIA recruit him when he was 16 yrs old?. Defecting to Russia is pretty damn easy...you go there and defect...only problem was he was turned down because the Russians thought he was a goof and was only a Private...it was only after his attempted suicide the day he was to be kicked out the Russians realized it would be bad PR to kick a defector out of the country but not wanting him in Moscow they sent him to a closed city, not accessible by the western press. What info could Oswald give the Russians on a U2? They already knew all about them, they only lacked a missile or plane that could bring it down...they got lucky. Put the tin foil hat away.

GHW Bush was the president of the Zapata Petroleum Company in 63' and not about to take a pay cut to be a CIA drone.

So for years everyone in the family thought my grandfather was a brew master. He traveled the world, post WWII, and oversaw the construction of breweries. South America right after the war, Eastern Europe, Russia and China later.

It wasn't until he was on his death bed did he confess to being OSS/CIA all those years. He was involved in Operation Paperclip and many others.

Everyone, including his family, thought he was just a successful brew master.

I posted there are ‘reasonable’ suspicions of connections and yes there are.

All that was needed was a motivated Marine and his rifle making an easy shot into a convertible.

You don't need an elaborate conspiracy for that involving Bush, Halper, aliens, reptilians, Colonel Sanders, the Rothchilds...

Occam's Razor. Learn it. Love it. Live it.

Oswald’s tax forms are not set to be released for 50 more years. Gee, I wonder who was paying him?

Bush's daddy used his connections after he graduated from Yale to get him a job in West Texas selling oil field equipment for Dresser Industries.

He further used his connections to form his own oil company

You don't need kooky conspiracies about him being a CIA operative.

He wasn't Director long enough to even get the seat warm.

When any two people know anything in Washington it's a conspiracy the saying goes. The only conspiracy to kill Kennedy existed solely and entirely in the mind of Oswald, a troubled and angry loner.

You got some of the key words, “motivation” which came from ‘influences’ which I mentioned before.

The part you are missing is knowledge and preparation. The President’s motorcade route and timing was unknown. Again, these are “reasonable’ suspicions that any detective would consider.

Until recently, it was not known that Oswald was tied to the CIA. That opens the door to reasonable questions of other CIA related connections.

They now doubt that Sirhan Sirhan killed RFK. Can’t we get the truth anymore?

Despite what crazy conspiracy theory books say, his Kennedy's route was published.

Oswald saw his opportunity and took advantage of it.

There's your knowledge and preparation.

After the way the government has behaved the last fifteen years I wouldn’t put anything past the CIA, FBI, DOJ, IRS, NSA, etc...

Who does the CIA and these agencies answer too when they routinely tell the president and congress we are not going to answer your questions. At that point who really is in charge here? Does voting make a difference? We are soon to find out. If they take out Trump then what’s the point of continuing the facade of republic.

You are correct Sir! From William Manchester, former Marine, page 95, in his book The Death of a President:

“A subsequent controversy developed over whether or not the shots fired from the warehouse on November 22 had been difficult ones, and echoes of the dispute are heard today. Here the author must appear briefly as an exert witness. This writer has carefully examined the site in Dallas and once qualified as an Expert Rifleman on the U.S. Marine Corps range at Paris Island, S.C. firing the M-1 rifle, as Oswald did, from 500, 300, and 200 yards. From the sixth floor in the Book Depository Oswald would look down on a slowly drifting target less than ninety yards away, and his scope brought it within twenty-two yards. At that distance, with his training, he could scarcely have missed.”

And don’t believe any of that crap about the 6.5×52mm Carcano Model 91/38 infantry rifle being a lousy weapon. 11 volunteer marksmen, who (unlike Oswald) had no prior experience with a properly sighted Carcano, were able to hit the test target twice in under the time allowed, although they were all afforded multiple attempts. The only man who scored three hits was firearms examiner Howard Donahue from Maryland.

The FBI tests of the Carcano’s accuracy showed:

1) FBI firearms expert Robert A. Frazier testified that “It is a very accurate weapon. The targets we fired show that.”[63] From 15 yards (14 m), all three bullets in a test firing landed approximately 2½ inches high, and 1-inch (25 mm) to the right, in the area about the size of a dime (0.705 inch diameter).[64] At 100 yards (91 m), the test shots landed 2½ to 5 inches (130 mm) high, within a 3 to 5-inch (130 mm) circle. Frazier testified that the scope’s high variation would actually work in the shooter’s favor: with a target moving away from the shooter, no lead correction would have been necessary to follow the target. “At that range, at that distance, 175 feet (53 m) to 265 feet (81 m),[65] with this rifle and that telescopic sight, I would not have allowed any lead — I would not have made any correction for lead merely to hit a target of that size.”

2) The rifle couldn’t be perfectly sighted using the scope (i.e., thereby eliminating the above overshoot completely) without installing two metal shims (small metal plates), which were not present when the rifle arrived for testing, and were never found.[66] Frazier testified that there was “a rather severe scrape” on the scope tube, and that the sight could have been bent or damaged. He was unable to determine when the defect occurred before the FBI received the rifle and scope on November 27, 1963.

Oswald had previously attempted to assassinate former General Edwin Walker and wounded him.

He had done it before and was prepared to do it again.
