His only mistake with Palin was not following her campaigning style....”My friend”.....she’s the only reason most of us went to the polling places to touch the screen for the “So and so/Palin” ticket....

He didn’t want to win. Some Republicans prefer to hold office as the minority stake party. And he probably didn’t want to go down in history as the guy who “denied” America its first black president.

He took a dive.

And he considers having Sarah Palin on the ticket as a sell-out of his “legacy”. He’s a crumb bum.

The only race McCain is close to winning is the one with Hillary to the bottom with excuses why his failure came about.

McCain has been a spiritually sick and mentally ill man for a long time and humanity has been suffering through it.

The only thing he did right was his biggest mistake.
That sums up his career pretty well.

If he would have picked Lieberman most Conservatives would have not voted.

The McCain-Palin campaign had a nice bounce coming out of the RNC, as the entry of Palin into the mix electrified GOP voters. But McCain literally killed that surge when he inexplicably suspended the campaign to engage in talks about the financial crisis. That, along with his “you have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency” comment during the second debate, told me he had no intention of winning.

I voted for Palin in 08. I voted against obama in 2012.

That’s how that worked for me.

Conventional wisdom is that she was McCain’s undoing. If you ask the establishment anyway. She was the precursor to what ultimately ushered President Trump into the white house. She had elements of what the deplorables were looking for... and she was much prettier than him. :)

What idiot Republican, other than McLame, would pick a Democrat for his VP? Especially at the age that McLame was at the time. IMO, that sucker’s desire to stick it to actual conservatives was so great that he thought if he couldn’t stymie them, maybe Lieberman could.

knowing songbirds ego, he’s probably quickly found out that Palin was outshining him during the campaign and is balking at that...just like his hate for Trump stems from Trump disclaiming his status as a “hero”.

She was what brought him a good 60% of his votes. People voted for Palin, not him.

“They” set her up from day one. It was planned to get the ineligible Kenyan elected.

I’m sure there are plenty of things McStain regrets.

Oh sure, we all have them, but most of ours aren’t
earthshaking or cost people their lives or freedom.
