Sen. John McCain should reconsider his wish that President Donald Trump not attend McCain's funeral, said Sen. Orrin Hatch, the most senior GOP senator.
McCain prefers instead that Vice President Mike Pence attend his funeral rather than Trump, who has mocked McCain for being tortured and attacked him for voting against Obamacare repeal. But Hatch said he thought keeping the president from his funeral was too much: "I think it's ridiculous."
Hatch said he does not expect McCain, who is battling brain cancer, to return to the Senate.
"That's what I've been told,” said Hatch, who is 84 and retiring after this year. “I don't know. I hope he does, I hope he can."

Good points. It is ghoulish IMO to debate the issue. McCain does not want him there, that is fine by Trump. I don’t think he wants me there either and that is fine by me. The dems and the GOPe will turn it into the rerun of the Wellstone memorial.

Our POTUS should not dignify McStains funeral under any circumstances. Juan has been a bitterly jealous back-stabber to President Trump, and his many vicious attacks were very nasty and personal.

Trump never mocked McCain FOR being tortured. Being tortured, by itself, does not make someone a hero. I think the evidence is that McCain has lived the life of a traitor, always posturing and pretending to be noble, and always ready to stab those he claims to represent in the back.
And “attacked”? Only in the sense that Politico constantly attacks the president and conservatives. But the difference is that McCain, along with many other RINOs, claimed they wanted to repeal Obamacare, but they are LIARS. Trump is being attacked for doing what he said he would do, which is MAGA.
Only to Politico and other libs is McCain considered heroic for lying in order to keep getting reelected, and then doing the opposite of what he said he will do.
If McCain is being buried in Arlington, Trump as President should be there to
pay respects and say something nice about the Senator’s service to the nation.
