Are you looking for an everyday carry gun?
Maybe you know someone or yourself who’s not an avid shooter but is looking to shoot more.
Or, for someone who may have arthritis in their hands, look no further Smith and Wesson has the pistol for you.

One of its main feature is an easy rack slide.
Many shooters across all groups have had issues with racking a slide.
Another one is the load assist magazines, which makes it easy and no brainer to load your ammunition.
Other features are Grip safety, Ambi mag release & thumb safety, standard 3 dot sights, Loaded Chamber Indcator (check for round in chamber), Forward Picatinny Rail (maybe for a light), weighs 18.5 oz and the overall length is 6.7 inches.
This pistol is design to be EZ to use right out of the box. See the video review of S&W .380 Shield EZ here.

“7.62x25 is a potent little roynd.”

The 82 I have is chambered in 9mm Makarov which is considerably less powerful. It is roughly equivalent to a .38 Spl.

Do any of you have strong feelings regarding any of the guns below as true “pocket pistols” that can be dropped into your pants pocket for carry?

Ruger LCP
Ruger LCP II
Taurus TCP 738
Taurus Spectrum
Kahr CW380
Taurus PT 22

Your thoughts on reliability and trigger pull?

You fish?

Occasionally. I like to take my dog out and hit the streams. I did a little Spring salmon fishing, but only caught a couple of smalls.

I agree. The Critical Defense Life works well in this though and ballistic gel tests look good.

"I find myself carrying a 5 shot .38 more and more. Easy to carry, less to worry about. I have one in my tackle box and EDC bag as well, leaving my larger .45 at home most times."
