Are you looking for an everyday carry gun?
Maybe you know someone or yourself whos not an avid shooter but is looking to shoot more.
Or, for someone who may have arthritis in their hands, look no further Smith and Wesson has the pistol for you.
One of its main feature is an easy rack slide.
Many shooters across all groups have had issues with racking a slide.
Another one is the load assist magazines, which makes it easy and no brainer to load your ammunition.
Other features are Grip safety, Ambi mag release & thumb safety, standard 3 dot sights, Loaded Chamber Indcator (check for round in chamber), Forward Picatinny Rail (maybe for a light), weighs 18.5 oz and the overall length is 6.7 inches.
This pistol is design to be EZ to use right out of the box. See the video review of S&W .380 Shield EZ here.
The Bodyguard without the laser is even less obtrusive, for everyday carry.
A disappearing .380 for pocket carry is the Ruger LCP. For a really great trigger, the LCP II.
I really enjoyed pocket carrying my wife’s Glock 42 while she was recovering from surgery (she couldn’t rack the slide so I lent her my J-frame) but now she’s taken it back.
The Shield EZ is in the same class as the Ruger LC380, which is the larger LC9 frame chambered in .380 and a correspondingly lighter recoil spring for easier slide manipulation.
Many find the LC9/LC380 pocketable, but I find it just that much too big for my pockets. Ditto the Glock 43 and Shield.
It hasn’t come in yet but I’m getting a 365 Sig, 10 shot 9mm in a nice small package.
I’ve always had trouble with the rack slide. After a evening of stuggling with my Ruger LC9 I reaized it was the DESIGN of the grip. It is so SMOOTH it requires greater hand strength that many, many people, including ME, have. Thus our fingers just slide off.
Brainstorm....I carefully cut a strip of adhesive backed carbide grit strips and put one on either side of the rack.
Instantly, enough FRICTION to rack the gun with ease.
The original strips ar still on the slide.
But...then I saw who posted....nevermind. =;^)
The LCR II is dead easy with half the trigger pull length and weight of the old one. Very easy to shoot well.
I have a.380 , a Beretta M1934 ,LOL
I find myself carrying a 5 shot .38 more and more. Easy to carry, less to worry about. I have one in my tackle box and EDC bag as well, leaving my larger .45 at home most times.
S&W Bodyguard .380 laser sight is the best handgun ever created.
The S&W Shield in 9mm has a "tough" rack slide IMO.
Bulgarian makarov - $300.00 comes with 2 magazines, very conceivable and very accurate. A PPK for 1/2 the price.

Conceivable= concealable. Effing autocorrect.

I’m sticking with my Glock 23. Just draw, aim and shoot. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. I don’t need a thumb safety or a grip safety. KISS principle.
Hornady Critical Defense Lite 90 gr is just the ticket.
I have a Ruger .380 myself, and my daughter has a Taurus .380 (hot pink!).
I also have a .45. Fun to shoot, but I find it way too large for CCW.
I know some believe otherwise, but myself - I personally believe a .380
is a heavy enough load to stop a perp if I needed to pull it.
It really is a sweet firearm.
I don’t care for lightweight snubbies for exactly those reasons. They are uncomfortable at best, and painful at worst to shoot. For most people this likely translates into a reluctance to practice as much as one should. My edc weapon is an early 1980’s 3rd issue Colt Detective Special, almost identical to the one in the meme. It’s all steel except for the wood grips and handles 158 gr +P hollow points with tolerable recoil.
