Nicknamed the Unicorn Killer because his last name means "one horn" in German, Ira Einhorn jumped bail and evaded arrest for 23 years, but eventually the "she went to the neighborhood co-op to buy some tofu and sprouts and never returned" story fell apart.
Ira Einhorn was on stage hosting the first Earth Day event at the Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on April 22, 1970. Seven years later, police raided his closet and found the "composted" body of his ex-girlfriend inside a trunk...
After 23 years, he was finally extradited to the United States from France and put on trial. Taking the stand in his own defense, Einhorn claimed that his ex-girlfriend had been killed by CIA agents who framed him for the crime because he knew too much about the agency's paranormal military research. He was convicted of murdering Maddux and is currently serving a life sentence.

Hollywood is going to reboot the TV show 'How to get Away with Murder'. The show be about Teddy Kennedy and the Clinton's...and other liberals... 😀
Nelson and Proxmire were two stains on my home states name. Neither were worth the powder to blow them to hell.
Earth Day. Kwanzaa. 4/20. All founded by sickos.
I knew a teacher who committed suicide after over a year of being hounded by the cops and a bleeped up court system for supposedly kissing a student, lost his job, was kicked out of the National Guard, lost his reputation and looking at prison so would never have a future. It was only after he couldn't take it anymore and killed himself the girl admitted she'd lied. Sometimes, cops get tunnel vision and can't see what's in front of their noses so don't arrest the evil ones.
He kept her body locked in a foot locker in his closet. He was found out when the body started to decompose, and fluid leaked into the apartment below.
Even though I was vaguely in favor of clean air and clean water and a good time sitting on a blanket in Belmont Plateau overlooking the City and listening to rock music with a bunch of other young people, I thought he was a disgusting creep, and the poster boy for self-righteous dirty hippie/politico anti-establishment obnoxiousness. I wasn't at all surprised that he turned out to be a homocidal maniac.
What this story doesn't detail is the incredible tenacity of Lynne Abraham, the Philadelpia Assistant District Attorney and later the District Attorney, who fought like a tiger with the powers that be in France and the U.S. to get this monster extradited.
See post 28.
Thank you for your report.
Thanks for Lynne Marsha Abraham’s incredible tenacity, too.
In 1988, Fred Maddux, the once proud and gregarious ex-member of the 82nd Airborne that had parachuted into Normandy on D-Day, took his own life.
He was depressed and angry, says daughter Buffy. He just finally gave up...
Never understood why people were drawn to or would fawn all over him. My only guess is that he supplied people with supplements...natural and earth-friendly, of course!
He was a person who was aggressively in love with himself and demanded that others think he was the most impressive god/man/guru/intellectual ever — a Jim Jones/David Koresh/Timothy Leary sort of persona, only his religion was whatever anti-establishment thing was hot on the market at the time. At that time, Mother Earth was his main scam. I understand he did gardening and such while he was in hiding in France.
Looking back, I’m still amazed at the people I’ve met in my life, highest to lowest, in most cases without particularly seeking them out, and also how disconnected I am now by comparisonnothwithstanding having made considerable effort for the past ten years NOT to update any social media or answer my phone or email! It’s like being a different person. Then again, I did want to be the “new man.”
That's the beauty and (for me) jaw-dropping revelation of
2 Corinthians 5:17 Amplified Bible (AMP) 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].
This scripture says that in Christ you are totally a new species of being that never existed before.
Talk about being counter-culture!
I met Ms Abraham a few times back in the 70s-80s. Even back then, when a woman had to work twice as hard to get half the credit as a man, her male colleagues greatly respected her. IIRC, she started out as an ADA under Ed Rendell (then the Philly DA) right out of law school in the mid-60s. And eventually was elected DA and served 4 terms. She earned her keep! It’s almost enough to forgive her for being a Democrat, which unfortunately is they way it works there if you want to work for the City.
Yep. I went “overground.” You, too.
