FBI insiders on Monday reacted with a collective bewilderment after the office of Trump attorney Michael Cohen was raided.
While not minimizing potential problems for Cohen in what appears to be a bank fraud case and possibly election related, FBI veterans reacted with a general disappointment toward FBI Director Christopher Wray’s leadership.
“Wray was supposed to break up the nonsense in New York or at least he was expected to try,” one FBI insider said. “Looks like business as usual.”
One longtime veteran said the FBI’s action on Monday will only harm the Bureau’s embattled reputation further.
“America is looking at this and wondering how the Justice Department can hassle anyone in New York without first looking at the Clinton Foundation,” the insider said. “That is certainly a legitimate concern. This makes the FBI look worse today.”
Why hasn’t the FBI raided the Clinton Foundation’s New York City offices?
Has Cohen illegally usurped and laundered hundreds of millions of dollars like the Clinton Foundation? Perhaps even billions.
Hardly.
“I think Americans just want a level playing field,” one FBI agent said. “That is not happening. The NY field office was involved with the Hillary email investigation and she walked on that.”
This is the overall point of hypocrisy: How can the FBI raid a Michael Cohen until it raids a Bill Clinton, a Hillary Clinton, a Clinton Foundation?
And how are Americans supposed to trust the FBI until all lawbreakers are treated equally because in 2018, they certainly are not. Look at Andrew McCabe and his wife. Look at Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. Look at the hundreds of stories uncovering FBI corruption in True Pundit alone.
Did Cohen send thousands of classified and top secret emails to other recipients while maintaining a rogue government server in his basement?
Hardly.
The frustration of FBI veterans is simple to decipher. It was the New York FBI who quickly grabbed Anthony Weiner’s laptop with a warrant to lock down its contents in what, at the time, was considered lightening speed by FBI standards.
Then-U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara helped expedite that to make sure the contents of the laptop didn’t leak and embarrass Hillary Clinton of Huma Abedin. And also ensure enough of the contents were leaked to put Weiner in a federal prison for years to think about the time he threatened to go public with the contents to expose Hillary Clinton. See how that worked out? Weiner went to jail, Hillary and her foundation walked away unscathed.

America is watching too. And equally frustrated. At least the folks who know the difference between law and order and believe it is the thread that holds the country together and from chaos.
Unless the FBI wants to keep pulling the thread loose…
Apparently, Wray was a bad choice. The President should have chosen someone from outside the agency. The Swamp may have damaging material on him. That’s their stock in trade.

The District of Corruption slime is drifting to cover the entire country.
FIBs running amok. DOJ run by a simpleton. Congress running kabuki shows. No end in sight, this country is heading south at a growing rate.
A politicized FBI. At this point, the FBI is more dangerous to the Republic than Al Qaeda. One is a danger on the outside, the other is a danger on the inside.
The country has long known there are different sets of rules for Them and Us. People largely do not care, as long as they can make their mortgage and car payments and afford food and entertainment - and the Deep State is well aware it is highly unlikely that any wave of moral outrage will suddenly arise in the hearts of average Americans. Hillary might have pushed her "Them Privileges" to the very limit, but she has not in the public's perception exceeded it. Even Obama didn't with his IRS audits of conservatives - just look who still runs the agency.
When we see the first Deep State affiliate jailed without bail on serious felony charges, we will know Trump is gaining the upper hand.
I now consider the FBI to be the American Gestapo.

Wasn’t Freak Bharara the USA who sent Dinesh D’souza to jail ostensibly for some chicken shit election finance violation when it was actually retribution for unflattering documentaries about Obama and Clinton?
We’re going to have to completely eliminate the FBI.
There is now no alternative.
So—Convention/Mores/Rules/Laws aren’t applicable if the FBI doesn’t like someone.
That sword can cut both ways.
“The FBI misses every terror attack.”
And school shootings.
“If Sessions cannot do it, he needs to gracefully resign”
And if he won’t resign, he should be fired.
He is the single greatest obstruction to justice in the US right now.
The impact of his inaction is enormous.

The sad truth. Cohen was cooperating, had supplied thousands of pages but this is the Gestapo style that Mulehead and his minions love. Cohen will lose all his clients and the FBI as Mueller's weapon will destroy another person unjustly.
I'm starting to wonder if there is anyone capable of stopping this? Sessions MUST GO. He is the reason we have Mueller and he is giving the deep state the run of the place. Maybe a non-Washington person can lead the DOJ and FBI back toward the rule of law but it is doubtful at this point.
They are simply too entrenched and have bullied so many into silence.
That’s the one. He expected to be reappointed to his position but when all US Attorney’s submitted their resignations the President wasted no time in accepting his.
“Too bad for them but for the rest of our lifetimes and beyond the irreparably stained FBI will be considered a very dangerous and unfunny joke.”
They’ll always be held as enemies of the American people.
