Vikings Trade for QB Trevor Siemian Becomes Official

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Monday announced they have acquired quarterback Trevor Siemian from the Denver Broncos.

Originally a seventh-round pick in 2015, Siemian has started 24 of 25 games for the Broncos in the past two seasons.

The Broncos went 13-11 in starts by Siemian, who has completed 495 of 835 passes (59.3 percent) for 5,686 yards with 30 touchdowns, 24 interceptions and a passer rating of 79.9. Siemian has been sacked 64 times.

Siemian is a Florida native who played collegiately at Northwestern. He will join starter Kirk Cousins, who signed with the Vikings last week in free agency, and Kyle Sloter in the quarterbacks room at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center.

The Vikings convinced Sloter, who spent the 2017 preseason in Denver as a rookie, to join their practice squad before the regular season and signed him to the active roster last September. Sloter was active for six games but did not play in a Vikings game.

Lots of movement in free agency.

Let's hope that this next season is worth paying attention to.

I’ve cut off NFL Sunday Ticket and am getting ready to dump DirecTV. If next season is sponge-worthy at least they won’t be getting any more of my money for it.

I gotta Ponder that one for awhile. Cousins Sloter & Semian? Sounds like a suit shop.

Ya see Bud Grant is 90? Wow..

In certain outlets they are still pushing Kaeperprick as a victim who still should be in the NFL. It’s disgusting.

They were trying to talk Brees into going to Minnesota.

it’s mystifying to me why anyone would think that people are interested in their utility bills, but it’s amazing how often you hear about people’s cable/satellite bill.

Is Sieman a better flagburner than Kirk Cousins?

I don’t think either Siemian or Cousins are “flagburners”.

They’re cool guys though.

Oh well. The NFL is declining socially.

Bud Grant was a good coach.

He’s still up and alive. He went to the Super Bowl in February.

Minnesota signed him, but they need more than one quarterback.

Who cares? The black racist, anti American, anti law enforcement, anti military, PC, thug infested nfl has been dead to our entire family of former die-hard fans for the last two years. We haven't watched a single game, including the stupid bowl, not one. And, we will never watch again... EVER!

The nfl hates traditional, wholesome American values! They literally HATE the overwhelming majority of their entire fan base and hold them in open derision!

So who in their right minds would continue to support or care about an organization made up of a bunch of PC thugs who hate them?

The nfl can rot.

Have the Vikings cut all 3 of their QB’s from last year? Keenum, Bradford and Bridgewater. They cut Keenum right before signing Curt(I help DC suck)Cousins last week.

How similar are the Redskins & Vikings offensive playbooks, I wonder? The Vikings when 13-3 in the regular season and are now installing 2 new QB’s.

Yes they did. Bradford went to Arizona, Keenum to Denver and Bridgewater to the Jets.

All three are very good qbs, but Bradford and Bridgewater are huge injury risks, Bridgewater sat out the past two seasons, and Bradford played just one game last year, I believe.

Keennum won 13games for the Vikes and took them to within a game if the Suoer Bowl, and they rewarded that by looking to another team and making Cousins the highest-paid player in the league,

Go figure.

The Vikings offense line lost it for them in the championship, not Keennum. And he now has playoff game experience. Joe Kapp got the same treatment after he won them the only NFL Championship in the team's history. He wasn't the best QB in the league at the time, but he was the perfect fit for the Vikings.
