5 of the Most Violent Cities in the WORLD Are Right Here in America
The Organic Prepper ^ | March 10, 2018 | Daisy Luther

When you think of the most dangerous, violent cities in the world, do you picture slums in Third World countries with vicious drug cartels or arrogant warlords? Maybe the kind of violence where enemies are decapitated and whole families are murdered seem like things that happen far away in some terrifying, exotic locale.

Some of this is true – but FIVE of the world’s most violent cities are right here on the American mainland and another is in an American territory. The list was created by researchers of anti-violence think-tank Seguridad, Justicia Y Paz (Security, Justice, and Peace), who made their rankings based on statistics of homicides per 100,000 residents.

As I noted in post #5, I’m guessing that the study exempted cities that could be considered to be in a war zone.

The wonderful country of violence, Mexico has the most cities in the top ten list of most violent cities in the world.

1. Los Cabos, Mexico
2. Caracas, Venezuela
3. Acapulco, Mexico
4. Natal, Brasil
5. Tijuana, Mexico
6. La Paz, Mexico
7. Fortaleza, Brazil
8. Victoria, Mexico
9. Guayana, Mexico
10. Belem, Brazil

Should we include the Mexican Population of San Francisco, Oakland and LA for Mexican clean sweep of the top 10 most violent?

Remember the illegals from the Mexican violent cities are in America doing violence Americans will not do.

Nancy Pelosi, Moonbeam Brown, the mayors of Gay Frisco, Oakland and LA love these illegals versus the working, tax paying and legal people of California.

Seeking a common denominator for those places would be extremely risky and not the least bit politically correct.

Not surprising. The way to raise good kids is to teach there are consequences to actions.. and carry them out when/if needed. The same goes for crimes that are winked at.... criminals who can skate the system and know it.

Hold people accountable!! our whole government system is criminal and no one is being held accountable! Give Trump the backing and clean out the sewer!

Acapulco at #3.
I remember when it was THE vacation destination for AWA (Americans With Money).
Things sure have changed.

After our adult kids finished college or tech schools and became fully employed, we would go to Acapulco and stay in good time shares the first week or two in December about 25 years ago.

We stayed at a timeshare about 1 mile from the city and walked to and from on the beach or the sidewalks. We never felt in danger for about 4 years, then it started to change.

So we went to Mazatlan and stayed in a condo about a mile from the city from the city. Again we walked on the beach to and from the main city. Again things started to change.

We took a cruise about 10 years ago with stops in Acapulco, Mazatlan and Cabo. They suggested not to leave the ship in Acapulco. We took a luncheon trip in Mazatlan, and the bus had an early 20 guy something with what appeared to be some old version of an assault weapon as a guard.

The ship pulled into the Cabo harbor and anchored. We used its small boats to take us into a heavy guarded and fenced on the sides and top walk way to get to the shops. Also, for some of us to board a whale watching boat.

The skipper on the whale watching boat was told to leave early not to go back to the harbor and to take us directly to the ship. Then, have us board via a little floating dock attached to a very long ship’s ladder to get on board.

We helped a few older people get up the stairs. The XO asked us if we would like to be on the bridge as the ship lifted anchor and sailed out of the harbor.

So, we took him up on his offer. My wife got a bird’s eye view of the skills needed to get any ship in or out of a busy harbor. She asked what harbors were similar re heavy traffic, when I was in the Navy. I said the worse was Miami, next NYC and then Norfolk NOB on east coast.

Oh, so they exempted war zones. That's why Chicago (Shi-Raq) wasn't on there.

I knew a guy that lived part time in Mexico.
He would come see his family and spend a year working, staying with his parents and saving most of his money.
Then he would head to Mexico and live just outside the tourist area in Acapulco.
He said for what he saved in a year he could rent a small house, pay a local to cook and clean for him and live a nice life for two years.
Then he would come home and work for another year and start the cycle over.
That ended when Acapulco became too dangerous, maybe 20 years ago.

The last time he was there it took all the cash he had saved for a year to get out of Mexico.

St. Louis is on that list because of a geographic/political idiosyncrasy. The St. Louis metropolitan area logically consists of St. Louis City (which is also its own county) and St. Louis County, where Ferguson (among other municipalities) resides.

Logically St. Louis City and St. Louis County should be considered together when calculating the crime rate, but they aren’t.

This would be like saying South Central LA is its own city, which would make a pretty interesting crime statistic.

Identifying what those American cities have in common could determine the cause of the violence.
