Senate Officials Confirm John McCain Expected to Step Down from U.S. Senate
True Pundit ^ | 3/8/2018 | Admin

Sen. John McCain is not expected to return the Washington D.C. politics, according to several sources who are closely monitoring his health and medical treatments at his ranch in Arizona.

In fact, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is already in the process of selecting a candidate to run for McCain’s senate seat in a special election after McCain’s expected retirement from the Senate, sources said. Candidates were contacted this week in fact as Democrats jockey to find new blood to oppose the GOP-held seat in Arizona.

“At this point, we are coming to terms that McCain is done here (in the Senate),” one Senate insider on the Hill said Wednesday. “Preparations are underway to deal with this.

Just weeks ago, a White House official said McCain — known for his anti-Trump leaks to the media and his connection to the bogus Trump dossier — was refusing to step down from the Senate despite his reported stage IV brain cancer diagnosis and treatments.

Now, sources said, the GOP and Democrats are prepping for a likely special election for his Arizona senate seat. First, however, if McCain were to retire, the governor of Arizona would appoint an interim Republican to fill McCain’s seat before a special election.

That would give the GOP another vote in the Senate as McCain has been absent since Christmas.

John McCain may never cast another vote in the U.S. Senate.

But he plans to stay in Arizona and the U.S. Senate, according to a high-level White House source, regardless of GOP-backed pressure for him to retire from the Senate.

John McCain is a pretty good runner for a guy with a boot on his leg.

Or legs. He switches the boot to different feet, all while recovering from an alleged “Achilles tear.”

Another lie in a career-long list of lies, half-truths and manipulations stretching the truth from Washington D.C. to Arizona to Vietnam and back again. Several times.

So it was of little surprise that when the bogus Trump dossier reached a fever pitch of debate and finger pointing on Tuesday, McCain was nowhere to be found.

Missing In Action.

Again.

Is McCain even in D.C? No. Sources report he is still at his $15 million mountain-top compound in Arizona. Is he under treatment for his Stage IV cancer treatment. No one is saying. Like always with everything McCain, it’s hard to believe what is true and what is polished hype to make him appear to be a hero.

But this was predicted in December and even before. True Pundit reported McCain would not return to D.C. if the dossier scandal stayed hot. it has. And McCain is not in the Beltway.

Well, he isn’t the first brain dead senator
and I’m sure he won’t be the last.

About time anyway.

Then why isn’t he fulfilling his public obligations to be present and vote? Cindy was all flustered last week after Trump referred to him as no name at CPAC and she made the connection while others didn’t.

Is there a good Republican to take his place?

ah...so you agree?

Mt 18:21-35

.....
I forgave you your entire debt because you begged me to.
Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant,
as I had pity on you?’
Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers
until he should pay back the whole debt.
So will my heavenly Father do to you,
unless each of you forgives your brother from your heart.”

Using Christianity to make oneself feel superior to others is not Christian, gives Christianity a bad name, and does not accomplish the Great Commission. So if you are more interested in feeling superior than in humbling yourself to the reality that ALL fall short of the glory of God, you are missing the point. Go back and review your posts. Moral preening and condemnation is not an appropriate way to show the love and forgiveness you are preaching.

My Jesus did not found the “Church of Nice” that you appear to be propounding. if He needed to get to the Temple before sundown, I have no doubt he would have flogged His donkey. He took a whip to the moneylenders and wrecked their stalls right in the Temple of God. He had no patience for corruption. Does that mean He did not love the sinners and die for them? No, it does not. Neither does our exasperation with McCain’s lying, two-faced weaseling mean that he is not our brother in the human family. That’s your judgment, to make yourself believe you are our moral superior.

Most of the posters on here do not hate McCain; rather they feel disillusioned and let down badly by his behavior and have a right to call it for what it is. He has disappointed us greatly and it is our call to rebuke bad behavior in the proper context, which is to look out for those areas in which we have a legitimate interest: taxpayer dollars, republicanism and conservatism. He has betraying all three. We are justified in forming a righteous judgment of his actions, since indulging his betrayals before he dies is no way to prepare him to meet his Maker.

You, on the other hand, have no call to go around picking on other freepers who are total strangers to you, except in the extremely unlikely event that you are a five-figure monthly donor who is paying their way. Pluck the log from your own eye.

It is NOT “picking on other freepers” to illustrate why it isn’t prudent to pronounce hate on a dying man.

THAT is what many posters did, and specifically the one I was corresponding with.

It has nothing to do with “superiority”.

Why would I discuss that with you?

Do I get more or less latitude with my posts depending on my contribution level?

If you prefer a moderate climate check out Payson, AZ.

I lived in the East Valley for approximately 30 years. Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and then Queen Creek. I moved back home, which is in the White Mountains in a very small town. I was tired of the traffic, the heat and the increasing crime.

I recommend Payson because it’s just big enough to have all the shopping resources and some of the amenities of a larger city but not the horrendous traffic. From Payson you can travel for an hour and be in the desert or less than a half hour and be in the tall Pine’s fishing or picnicking at a beautiful lake.

Payson would be nice, but my husband works in North Phoenix, so... stuck here in Peoria.

I thought Washington didn’t have income tax? I guess they invent other taxes to make up for it?

Our property taxes, and a multitude of “user fees” have been going through the roof. Our own property taxes are set to double next year as compared to just ten years ago. They changed the rules on school levies so that they can hardly ever be defeated.

As an example of how things go... our yearly car tabs were reduced to a $30 flat fee, but in the years since a multitude of additional fees started being tacked on. To where the cheapest old car now costs around $100 a year. These are all in a form that do not have to be approved by the voters.

Thanks for the info! We are life-long Washingtonians who are close to retirement and heartily sick of the politics and the taxes(and the rainy winters) in this state.

Have lots of friends who have moved to Arizona but the extreme heat, coupled with the snakes, makes me think we need to look elsewhere!

You can research a lot of areas in USA through best places comparison, for economy, crime, weather, etc. Compare where you are, with where you might like to go.

Pay particular attention to crime statistics. A green zone on crime map is only good zone. Avoid yellow, red, etc.

If buying a home, look at REO, Foreclosures first, and you could save some money. They do need more TLC, but some are in good shape. Banks have their own listings of REO properties. Check out. If paying cash can usually find good deals in all categories. ALWAYS pay for the HOME INSPECTION, so you know how old furnace/AC and roof is, and what will need to be repaired, fixed, replaced or if you want to walk away; that 200- $300. can save you thousands.

Beware building a home, unless you know a builder is really good, always takes more time than promised. If not from area could get problems from unknown company.

USE a REALTOR, who is buyers agent...works for you. That is my best advice. If you aren’t buying ...look at several apartments/homes, and with both....drive by streets on weekends, nights, and see what is going on...where are the parties. Look at upkeep, trash, and other unsightly things next door, down the street, and behind the yard. Pics are only good for what they want you to see!

Research, Research, Research area for negatives/positives. In Real Estate it is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION for resale. Never buy biggest, most expensive house in area, instead find what you want in a place, where you will feel comfortable and safe. Hope that helps.

Happy Hunting!
