On the day Hope Hicks announced she would be leaving her post as White House communications director, she was "a puddle of tears" during the White House communications meeting Wednesday, according to one eyewitness. President Trump was angered by Hicks' testimony before the House Intelligence Committee -- angered by the fact that she admitted to the panel over the course of nine hours of testimony that she told "white lies" on his behalf. It is doubtful that this would have caused her to resign.

She is young and she needs to have a life. She is working non stop and if she wants a family she has to step out of the tornado. I’m pretty sure her love and loyalty for our president has not changed, she just needs a life

Check the wording in the Bill of Rights.

It’s not a “liberty.”

Susan Rice told bold-faced lies. Did she ever admit it?

“A lack of emotional discipline is a character flaw.”

Are you referring to Hicks or Trump? Yesterday, one of the Fox reporters who had been with the campaign and White House said that Hicks was the most even tempered people he’d ever seen. No matter the chaos around her, she always kept her cool. That was before the news came out that she’d resigned, just discussing her hours of testimony.

Sounds like her lawyer didn’t coach her on better verbiage in case this came up; it HAD to come up.

There's also the perception that White House chief of staff John Kelly is moving against those closely aligned with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.

You don't need fake news when you have perception news to fall back on.

Seems like he as instead allowed or intentionally surrounded himself with naysayers, backstabbers, and non-believers that are happier with a Democrat agenda.

That's probably because nobody with any significant DC experience believes in Trump's agenda. He has had to - in a CEO-like way - favor competence and experience over ideology. Reagan didn't have as much of this problem, since DC back then still had many conservative figures who were happy to sign on to the Reagan Revolution.

Trump is a man without an existing political constituency. He is instead the voice of the citizens saying "No!" - and because of this much of his potential DC-experienced workforce can't stand him. And after seeing what happened to Bannon and Flynn, there isn't a long line of DC volunteers - they are sitting out this Administration and hoping things will return to "normal" after the 2020 elections.

“Security clearance shouldn’t be based on behavior outside of work.”

Behavior outside of work id a huge issue with security clearances.

Mr. MM was a scientist for a defense contractor, and being assigned to a new project, so another new TS clearance. At the same time we were relocating. We knew nobody in our new neighborhood, and noticed people looking at us funny and steering clear.

Then the guy next door finally told us the FBI had visited them and were asking strange and personal questions about our lifestyle. We laughed and told them it was for a security clearance. FBI hadn’t bothered to tell them that part! And they don’t just ask about the employee; the spouse gets the third degree, too.

“I want to know if there is proof of some kind or is this a he said/she said?”

I’ve wondered about that, too. Easy enough to phony up a couple pictures, and tell the right lies, if the price were right. If there are contemporaneous police reports and photos taken by physicians, then that’s another story.

“White lies”; she was probably fatigued and forgot to revert to political speak. Consequently, her inherent honesty broke through.
