Bangkok coffee shops were a target when i was on R and R in 1972.
Guns are banned in France, but the terrorists that murdered 89 people at the 2015 Eagles of Death Metal concert in Paris used guns. How did that happen?
The movies may be part of the problem, but I think a far more serious reason is the media making celebrities of the mass murderers.
Most of them expect to achieve a sort of immortality through notoriety.
It is called the copy cat effect. The media knows about it, but love to use the murder of innocents to push their political agenda and to make money from ratings.
The anti-gun people do not care about that or about facts. They are after political power and an authoritarian government where only they have guns so that the population cannot defend themselves against anything the government decides to do. I have lived long enough to learn about nations that commit genocide against their own people, of course, in places where the people had no arms to defend themselves. Regarding facts the anti-gun elites do not care about, Tucker Carlson gave some last night in his opening remarks. This information is from the US Government.
MURDER VICTIMS BY WEAPON: 2015 Crime Stats
Rifles: 252
Knives: 1,544
Blunt Objects: 437
Bare hands/feet: 624
Personally, I believe this march, organized and paid for, no doubt by some leftist organization, is just going to anger America. This shooting took place because the FBI and the local law enforcement, who had ample information available to have stopped the very troubled young man from taking this action, is one reason it happened. Add to that a dismal failure in the mental health system and the causes of this one are obvious. Only those who want to get something out of this for themselves will distort these facts to dupe and manipulative for political purposes. In America there are over 100 million rifles and over 300 million guns overall in private hands. Can you imagine the resistance if the government decided to collect those guns? It would be the beginning of a second Civil War.

From Juan-”I can’t believe we have
more guns than people in the US.
That’s crazy”....
Wow - that sounds like a great place to be a shooter and gun owner. I should move there.
Our local paper’s headline says “Gun Fury” with a headline wide color picture of an AR-15. They’re flying out of gun shops. Won’t be one left on the shelf by the weekend. LOL!
