Carter Page was an undercover FBI agent, who helped to bring down a Russian spy ring. Later, the FBI used him and set him up by telling the FISA COURT he was a Russian spy. While working as an undercover agent to bring down the Russian spy ring, he met with the Russians, of course. The FBI took those meetings later and used them to make him look like a Russian spy.

Page basically is responsible for one of his wins. On March 11, 2016, Bharara and his partner, John P. Carlin, Assistant General for National Security, announced that Evgeny Buryakov, aka “Zhenya,” pled guilty to conspiring to act in the US as an agent of the Russian Federation.

I wonder if this revelation will make Mike Medved admit he was wrong. He was attacking the memo by saying that the FBI had very good and legitimate reason to be having a fisa warrant Carter page.
Preet Bahara isn’t even close to being one of the good guys. He let all the Wall Street crooks skate on his watch, making Barney Fife look observant and diligent in comparison.
I am starting to believe that this whole Carter Page thing was a setup. He was an FBI asset placed in the campaign, and he became the FBI’s bait for the FISC because he had extensive contacts in Russia, thanks to the work he did for the FBI there. This is worse that I thought.

Who brought Carter Page around to Team-Trump and convinced them to hire him as a foreign policy expert? Page is some fake-insider. It’s kind of unbelievable that we get this far into this whole fake-Russia story, and now discover that Page is some FBI-secret-agent?

That’s what I think.
All I can remember was his membership to the Trump campaign was short and contentions with the Campaign disavowing him within a few short weeks. He presented himself a big wig in the campaign and then suddenly he was just a volunteer (along with Papadopoulos) and being refuted by the campaign as a member.

I don’t know if it makes any sense. If he was a plant, then why would they need a warrant? And if he was a plant, then why would they accomplish anything by wiretapping him?
And if he was a plant, then I suppose you think he was interfacing with the Trump people, and trying to get them to say things? Of course, we don’t know if he did, so maybe he did. But he wasn’t working for the Trump campaign at the time.
I just tuned into him periodically to see if he will admit he was wrong yet, and he never does!
Page was an excuse to wiretap Trump and associates and got us to “lying drunk” Popadopolis.
Only Page knows for sure. When he ceases to be a free man he will open up the floodgates.

A Title I FISA probably extends to all communications and extended communications on the target. Through the PRISM system the could probably look back into a lot of information.
If Page was an Obama mole placed in the Trump campaign to gain FISA surveillance of the Trump campaign, people need to be financially and career-wise destroyed as an object lesson to the Deep State.
I’ve read elsewhere that Edward Cox encouraged Page to work for Trump. That doesn’t explain the whole process of how Page entered Trump’s orbit, but it’s a starting point. Per Wikipedia, Cox was (I’m not sure if he still is) the chairman of the New York Republican State Committee. Married Trisha Nixon, daughter of President Richard Nixon. Lawyer in the Manhattan law firm of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP.
