Oh Deer ,Over Kill
Around here farmers complain about deer and then post all their land.
I live in rural America. Last year I watched a juvenile deer eat every one of the plants my wife had planted in our yard. One can defoliate acres in a day.
SOBs are nothing but glorified goats.
I have seen them completely destroy the new growth in a forest. And, I can give you all directions to areas where they have done that.
Not only a great shot but the venison was tenderized upon impact.
He should’ve taken both of them....and then gone looking for the rest of the herd.
They’re nothing but overgrown pests.
When my dad dragged us to the Ozarks kicking and screaming back in 1956 we never saw any deer here as we had out in the Rocky Mountains. It was fifteen years before I saw two does very early one morning.
Then about 1975, a new company moved into the area and bought up lots of land for a power plant, and posted it against poachers. Soon we began to see deer, then more deer, now lots of deer. Now we have so many that the “Chronic Wasting disease” is beginning to spread in the area. It is now legal to shoot up to five deer in our area.
Had a deer problem at our former residence. Tried every thing including coyote urine to save my plants from the things.
Saw a movie about a baseball coach having problem with deer eating the sod on his field.
He was at barber shop one day and was complaining about the deer.
Barber gave him all the hair sweepings from the shop and told him to spread it around the field.
NO DEER!
I tried it and BINGO! NO DEER!
Even works for rabbits and armadillo.
From my days in the ag business:
“Deer are nothing more than rats on stilts.”
They do a huge amount of damage.
