Whatfinger News: What the Drudge Report Was Meant to Be
Canada Free Press ^ | 01/17/18 | Selwyn Duke

Whatfinger is the younger, more vibrant up-and-coming contender who only needs a title shot to hoist the belt. I hope it gets it, too, because the current media status quo has conservatives heading for a knockout.

In this anti-establishment age, people are increasingly moving toward anti-establishment news sources. Many good examples exist, but as far as news aggregators go, one stands out: Whatfinger News (Whatfinger.com).

That’s right, not the Drudge Report. That titan of news-aggregator traffic loses out because of an area in which it may be without peer: providing eyeballs for left-wing websites. More on that momentarily.

“Liberty Daily” is so laden with moving and static junk I cannot find the content.

I still like FR the best of them all — “crowdsourced” news by conservatives and a simple, fast-loading, zero advertising design. If only we had more paying members or Jim Rob found a big conservative sugar daddy who just wanted to support the good fight.

Unreadable is when drudge and his advertisers constantly high jack my iPhone to tell me congratulations I just one an iPhone. I’m quite happy to adjust to the format at the link and also happy it seems to be as conservative as drudge once was.

Drudge lost it when the site went to auto-update every few seconds or so...

I use NoScript with my browser. Any site that wants to load dozens and dozens of scripts after I temporarily allow it is a solid no-go.

That leaves FreeRepublic, then.

Citizen Free Press is the best in my view. And they have no advertisements.

https://www.citizenfreepress.com/

The guy who runs it used to work for Lou Dobbs.

It doesn’t seem that bad.

Less annoying than the video ad that always follows my screen up and down on The Liberty Daily.

The content seems broader as well, and without all the snarky headline changing The Liberty Daily loves to engage in.
