RUSH: You know, the first hour, take one, I told you what my take on this is. Even though CNNs misrepresenting it. CNNs putting me in the Chatsworth Osborne Jr. category where I think Trump sold us out. And thats not what I think happened yesterday. Ive been very clear what I think happened. But CNN is eager to make it appear that Trump is losing his base.
Grab sound bite 23. This is the most recent one. Again, back to John Kings show on CNN. He spoke with their White House correspondent named Abby Phillip about conservative reaction and, by the way, you better get sound bite number one handy, cause were probably gonna follow this with that.
So John King says to Abby Phillip, the White House correspondent, CNN, Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, many others saying, Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a minute, you were our guy on this. You were build the wall, anti-amnesty, Little Marco, Jeff is soft. What happened yesterday? Was that a one-day episode of the reality TV show that sometimes is the Trump White House where I need Democrats right now so Im going to pretend to be nicer and softer? Which was it?
So, you see, Ive been put in that camp that thinks Trump is selling us out. Well, let me remind you, this is what I said yesterday after I had considered everything. This was my take on it. Audio sound bite number one.

I have to agree. Trump has often proven to be 1 if not more steps ahead of his haters. Looks like this time his base doesnt see his real goal. Trump must know how Columbus felt when his crew was about to mutiny. Base jumpers should be ashamed to bolt so quickly.

Read this article and every time it says “media” think “democrats”!
My immediate thought was that Trump knows that group along with reps and senate will not present him a bill to sign without certain things in it. That little sentence was probably worked out with some key players before that meeting. He ain’t stupid.
Exactly. When they don’t get him a bill and DACA expires he can hanging around their necks when he enforces the law. They’re never going to vote for a bill that funds the wall and ends chain migration. So when it doesn’t work out it’s on them.
Sorry, Rush, but he said he’ll sign anything they send him. That is a sellout.
But it’s consistent with whet Trump was saying just a few months before he announced for president.
EXACTLY.... wonder how long it will take for the liberal Trump haters to figure that out.
Maybe Trump saying directly “No Wall no DACA”had something to do with Rush’s confidence.
Unlike the whining Glenn Beck, who sounded like he was actively campaigning for Oprah this morning.
But he said an ocean to gulf wall was no longer a necessity. That’s not what was promised.
I agree. If you looked around the room there, there wasn't any of those congressional clowns, including GOP, that wouldn't, given the right opportunity, sink a knife in his back (and most have already done so). When you're in a situation like that, everyone plays a little game where you smile and pretend to be agreeable.
We will only know when he signs a bill.
Its all Kabuki theatre..lets see what happens
It is not going to expire, a federal judge says he has to keep it going and we all know Federal Judges have legislative power because those that actually have the power refuse to wield it.
Every time I heard Trump speak about DACA during the election, he was conciliatory. Build wall, chain migration, recently the lotto migrating and anchor babies were his rock to stand on. I’m convinced he knows & likes some of those in DACA’s web, a web built by Obama.
As someone elsewhere in thread said, Dems are not going to give up Build wall, chain migration, recently the lotto migration and anchor babies, so come March 4th, the Dems didn’t want DACA because as the “recently released emails” say the Dems are more concerned in increasing their voter rolls. Dems are willing to sacrifice DACA for votes. So Prez wins the issue regardless how the media spins it, he’ll tweet for a couple sessions to demonize the Dems. MAGA
I hope not.
What was said yesterday was very disconcerting.
“It is not going to expire, a federal judge says he has to keep it going and we all know Federal Judges have legislative power because those that actually have the power refuse to wield it.”
I agree.
The problem with no deal at all is it means no wall, DACA continues, the illegal invasion continues. Sure, maybe Trump can point the finger at Congress for failing to present a bill, but the bottom line is we are still scrood.
No deal is a bad deal as well.
“So when it doesnt work out its on them.” Exactly.
The President first cornered every pro-DACA person is the room when he said “I’m sure everyone here wants border security” (or words to that effect)- not a single one opened their mouth to protest, as that would be political poison for the next election.
Negotiation Rule #2: Get the other side on board with your side of the negotiation (aka: “find common points of agreement”).
Negotiation Rule #3 (as you noted): Put surrogates in charge of the real negotiations and stay out of the fray.
LOOKIE HERE!
There WERE 1.1 million DACA recipients.
NOW there are 670,000.
Trump cut the number in half WHILE YOU-ALL WERE BITCHING like fishwives. https://t.co/UxNyOf5P1cf
