Since Glock is a very popular handgun for law enforcement and gun hobbyist. These retired U.S. special ops have looked at and pushed the envelope on what it can do with a little modifications.
Larry Vicker of Vickers Tactical and company talking over some mods with the Glocks.
Here's a quick view of Glock mods from the 3 retired spec ops:
This is the one we carry.

Absolutely love them.

Because clickbait.
It’s almost too deep to contemplate.
I want one of those in my hand too.
I like my Mak for EDC so I like the idea of that XDe. But I need them in my hand. We’ll see.
Watch yer knot
I like my Mak for EDC
There are times my CZ82 is a better choice due to how Im dressed. But 90% of the time the XDS is my go to. Ive never been a big fan of the DA/SA thing. When the Mak is on my hip its cocked locked and ready to rock.
Best,

Gaston Glock says it was perfect by design.
He was wrong. The grip angle sucks.

I had a pistol with a laser sight once, about drove me crazy.
If I tried to sight it properly, that stupid dot was in the way.
If I tried to look at the dot, the sights were in the way.
I ended up just holding the thing chest high and putting the dot on the target. That’s no way to shoot.
I don’t have a laser sight anymore...
I've always thought so.
My Russian Mak is DA/SA with a decocker.
I do like the idea of the XDs with the grip safety.
My Russian Mak is DA/SA with a decocker.
Mine is a Czech CZ82. No decocker, straight DA/SA.
Very underrated guns. Great value.

Missed that. I thought you were paraphrasing.
I’ve always thought so.
As a long time 1911 shooter I couldnt figure out why Glock pistols felt so off in my hand. Then I realized it was the grip angle. When I laid an XD on top of one of my 1911s I saw it. The grip angle is darned near identical.
So that did it for me.
L
Some say the angle, some say the hump on the grip.
I just know the XD fits me.
I bring up the Glock to point-and-shoot and I am pointing high.
Some say the angle, some say the hump on the grip.
Same issue here. 35 years of muscle memory is hard to overcome. Plus I do still own, carry, and frequently shoot 1911s. So I wasnt going to screw with it.
I just know the XD fits me.
Us too. Every bit as good as a Glock IMO but it comes with decent replaceable fiber optic sights and theyre less expensive. Picked both of the XDS in .45 from the used section at Cabelas. Got the entire kit. Hard case, extra mags, replacement fiber, cheesy holster and mag holder, out the door for less than $500 a copy.
Cant beat that with a stick. They eat everything weve fed them flawlessly with the exception of some lead wadcutters my buddy shoots. So, we dont shoot leaf wadcutters. Problem solved.
Best,
L
That par for course for that blog.
