It’s Christmas and we’ve just got word about one of the best-ever Christmas gifts a patriot could ever wish for: the US ambassador at the UN Nikki Haley just announced that she negotiated a $285 million cut in United Nations’ “bloated budget”. That’s a big chunk of taxpayers dollars that will not be wasted on that globalist institution next year. Nikki Haley made the announcement on Sunday and she was quoted as saying:
“The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known. We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked.”
She might have added that America will no longer be lured by the false song of globalism, but we’ll settle with defunding the UN for now. Nikki Haley explained that since the United Nations is not accountable for the vast amounts of money spent very inefficiently, like any other bureaucracy we know of, this is unacceptable and things must change:

The author is no fan of Nikki Haley, but I do like the idea of slashing the funding further every time the UN has an anti-US resolution, and announce to the world each time why the funding is being cut. Rinse and repeat.

I seem to think what is being referred to a a ‘cut in funding’ is really a cut in UN budgeting - There seems no indiction in this story that the US is actually going to pay them less, just the the UN is going to spend less.

.....correct me if I’m wrong but the US currently funds some 6 billion to the UN each year. So, a 285 million dollar cut in 6 billion is only 4.7%.
A measly 10% cut would be 600 million.
So, yes, 285 million is a welcome cut. But, that’s all. A value should be placed on the benefit of even having a UN for the American People. I say it’s ONE Billion!..........MAX.
So give all taxpayers in the US an additional refund this year. Maybe a couple of bucks each? I’ll take it. Notice the operative word here is “Taxpayers” not the population.
Now really drive the Left nuts . . .
Donate the entire $285 million to the endowment funds of the HBCU’s like Grambling, Tuskagee, Toukaloo and others . . .
