Makes it a commodity that has gone down in cost as far as inflation effects, since the ‘50s and ‘60s...
Excellent!
I’ve noticed most of the pistol and AR ammo has come down but higher caliber rifle ammo (308, 30-06) is still about the same.
More winning!
Remington?
Horrible!
We should immediately create a government program to bailout these poor manufacturers. Everyone could trade in their spent shells for safer, shiny, new shells and the government could pay the difference between the new low price and the Obama price.
We could call it Bazillions for Bullets.
Sadly, we in California, expect our new ammo laws will greatly raise ammo costs.
I think also the illegal mail order ammo ban here in Kali has contributed to the fall of .22 prices nationwide. And yes, Im sure our prices will rise up again... as intended.
This Ping List is for all things pertaining to the 2nd Amendment.
FReepmail me if you want to be added to or deleted from the list.

Same here in NY due to Little Andy and his Safe Act ploy to make him look presidential. At least in his mind.
I found Hornady .17 HMR for 8.60 p/box-o-fifty last week. I havent seen it under $11.00 in a decade.
Unfortunately here in California the Communist/Democrat control is tightening over the proletariat, and new regulations take effect January 1.
We have purchased the last ammo we will ever purchase as long as we are in this State as we have no intention of registering to buy ammo, thus identifying to the State what we have.
We will stay as long as the one remaining old horse lives, but then we will move to some State where sanity reigns (unless of course the horse outlives us).

A 20 grain .17 HMR has a muzzle energy of 340 joules. A .22 LR has a muzzle energy of 141-259 joules, and .22LR have killed a lot of humans. Non +P .38 special ammo is around 305-358 joules.
A head shot with .17 HMR will put down any human. I wouldn't want to be hit with one, anywhere on my body.
My local Walmart still gets wiped out immediately any time bricks of .22 hits the shelves.
Sales should drop dramatically in CA, which means more for the rest of us!
Buy all you can, ship it close to the Cali line and sell, sell, SELL to the Californians sneaking across the border to buy ammo after their chintzy law goes into effect.
“Sadly, we in California, expect our new ammo laws will greatly raise ammo costs.”
That would be about 5 cents/round with Crook County’s two taxes.
