I’m my own biggest fan. I’m delusionally fascinated by myself. I love the sound of my own voice. If you don’t feel like that, fake it until you believe it. If you like yourself, it’s the sexiest thing in the world.
My mother grew up in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany. I say “Nazi Germany” as much as I can, because I refuse to let them get away with it. She had a horrific childhood. But through her eyes I’ve learned to be positive and not cynical, and always keep moving forward. I got everything important from my mother. My entire moral code comes from her.
Success is about what you do with what you have. At school, they teach you that we are all born equal. That’s horseshit. School doesn’t prepare you for anything. Life has no rules. Some people are born smarter; some people are born able to run faster. You’re not supposed to say that, but it’s true. Unfair, but it’s true.

I can see that you’re not a musician, nor have you ever participated in the internal culture of Rock musicians!
You seem to believe in the hype that their promotors use to sell the product to the gullible.
Its not real by any stretch for most of the bands, although it sort of fits the Rolling Stones, and a few of their imitators.
There are lots of Godly men in rock bands.

While I agree with you that it seems completely implausible, do you have any proof? To the contrary, I’ve read many articles...for decades, stating that The Nuge never indulged.

Not one of the articles I read mentioned promoters that I recall. Most were from other artists and every day people.

I remember an interview with Gene about how when they toured with Rush, the members of Rush would just go back to their hotel rooms, and Gene wondered what the heck was wrong with them.
“I would even say he’s much better in business than he is in music.”
Not hard to do.
No drugs or booze? No wonder his music sucks! :-)

Here’s that snip from the documentary on Rush where Kiss and Rush are talking about each other. Geddy says something like “Regardless of what you want to say about Kiss, there was no harder working band - and there goal was to put on a great show, and they did. And we were so green - that was very impressionable.”
Kiss also treated Rush with great respect as they did for all of their opening bands.
All the guys in Rush were married - but still pretty amazing that they were able to resist the groupies. They don’t make the claim of being tee-totalers or not having a few drugs.
Oh - Geddy’s mom was also a holocaust survivor.
I can’t recall if it is in that documentary, but Alex Lifeson talks about “The Bag”, where he would draw a face on a grocery bag and become this alter ego type comedian and say nasty things and jokes. I think it was one of the other memebers of Kiss that got really pissed one time and ran him out of the room.
LOL, that sounds like Alex, alright.
I thought KISS meant Keep It Simple, Stupid. I never heard your version.
