A federal court in New York City has dismissed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump that alleged his failure to divest from the Trump business empire violated anti-corruption provisions of the Constitution.
U.S. District Judge George Daniels, a Clinton administration appointee, ruled Thursday that the case could not proceed because the plaintiffs could not prove that Trumps actions tangibly harmed their businesses.
The lawsuit was brought by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), an anti-Trump watchdog group formerly led by Clinton ally David Brock. A number of accomplished lawyers and legal scholars participated in the effort, including Professor Laurence Tribe of Harvard Law School, Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of the law school at the University of California, Berkeley, and Richard Painter, an ethics lawyer in the George W. Bush White House.
The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the federal trial court in Manhattan.
The plaintiffs claim that their economic livelihood has been adversely affected by their inability to compete with Trumps businesses following his election to the presidency. The plaintiffs event planners, hoteliers, and restaurant owners claim they have lost business in recent months, as prospective costumers flock to Trump properties to curry favor with the administration or secure greater exposure.

(What is more bothersome than a malarial mosquito or more disease-ridden than an upland leech? A posting pest! If you are bothered by these annoying creatures take heart: new hardware and apps are being developed as this is written to provide early detection and timely eradication. Stay tuned

There are a lot of people in this world that need therapy. These people are deranged.
I would be nice if you included a link to whatever post it is you are talking about.
Democrats officially declare that only failed private citizens can be President.
“The plaintiffs event planners, hoteliers, and restaurant owners claim they have lost business in recent months, as prospective costumers flock to Trump properties to curry favor with the administration or secure greater exposure.”
Maybe they are not running TO President trump as much as they are running FROM these people.
It would be even better if he’d grow-up and cease his childishness regarding his “comment post”.
"We have met the enemy and he is us."
I found two of them in the article, as posted.
On my browser, they're displayed in red. One is at the top, under the word "Clinton." The other is at the bottom, after the words Read more at.
Not trying to be a pest, but what the heck is a “posting-pest”? I have never heard/seen that term before.
While a precise definition has yet to be formulated it’s the sort of thing you’ll recognize when you see it.
Stay alert!

Why wasn’t it declared that they have no standing? Is it only when Democrat laws/rules/ideas/etc. are challenged or when Repubs/conservatives challenge something that they “have no standing”?
Those are links to a (needless) excerpt.
Post #1 indicates that there is a previous post on FR on this subject.
More needed than “therapy”...they need lobotomies. The LIBs are lunatics.
I saw a complete story when I clicked on either of the links.
The story is 486 words in length. Perhaps that’s an excerpt to you, but it looked complete to me.

Hmmmmm...how fast is it? Can it handle 5,000 replies within a single ping-return time?
Its capabilities are virtually limitless.

I think Boo Hoo Girl needs to pay a visit to Mr. Brock.
Looks like Cheb! was still smarting over his primary loss.
