When the Titanic struck an iceberg, the crew might have rushed to the storeroom, grabbed the materials and spruced up the ship with a shiny new coat of paint. Women in their beautiful fur coats could stand on deck, admiring the lustrous sheen, as everyone pointed to it saying, “What a thing of beauty!”
The new paint job would have “succeeded” to the extent that it would make the Titanic more lovely, but today we would recognize that it might have been kind of beside the point.
Word has now reached us that congressional Republicans have passed tax reform. Everyone is standing around admiring the lustrous sheen, pointing to it and saying, “what a thing of beauty!”
The iceberg is immigration and the Titanic is our country.

The word “illegal” should never be combined with “immigration”. It’s not immigration. It’s an unlawful invasion. These people are criminals and need to be treated as such.
The statements of the UN Migration Chief (Swing - which is what should happen to him), have removed any pretence about the motives of the globalists. They want 3rd world refuse to have the right to cross any border, with the intention of destroying “white privilege” western society and economy.. The rest of the world (except Japan and China and a few East Europe countries) is surrendering to this madness. The US needs to shut the border and admit only those people who demonstrate they can be a benefit to America. No freeloaders, no family chain migration, and no Muslims.

I agree. I want all these things done. I have wanted a big wall and other immigration (legal and illegal) crackdowns for a *very* long time. I admire and appreciate Ann's tenacity, but I can't help but feeling like it's just peeing in the wind at this point. I bet 10 years from now not one thing will have changed on any of this.
What has changed since 9-11 to secure the border and stop Muzzies from flocking in here by the droves? We have doubled down on it. I see more Muslims in my area ALL the time.
We have a bunch of do nothing, can kickers on our side. They don't care. They are interested in feathering nests. Ensuring a hopeful future for the young and the not yet born of the United States? Pffft! Let those little chumps figure out the unfathomable debt, the bombings, shootings, and plunging of cars into crowds by radicals that have no right to be in this country in the first place, the lack of resources, the overcrowding of cities, the skyrocketing cost of living, the petty and violent crime of illegals and the general breakdown and lack of respect about the rule of law that all this promotes.
Has McCain worried about any of this during his career? Does Ryan care? McConnell? We know the Dems don't, but other than our windfall of Trump, we have not one person on our side that will step up. Not one leader. Not one statesman. They are either too timid or have actively joined with the other side in our destruction. And if there is a lone voice out there, he's floating around in a big ocean of sewage. It's brave, but the odds are not in his favour. And they certainly aren't in ours.

I think that is a policy that should be very limited. In the long term, we do ourselves no favors by importing educated foreigners who reduce the need for educating Americans, which, in turn, enables the colleges and universities to continue being leftist madrassas. Another aspect of this is that by facilitating the brain drain from developing countries, we perpetuate the circumstances that make them third world cesspools because no intelligent people are left to work to improve those countries. As a result, people continue to have very high birth rates in those countries and there are no economic opportunities; the conditions that fuel the invasion of illegals into first world countries do not change.
It can be said that talking about any real problem is a “trap”. But legal immigration is a problem, too. I bet all the Muzzies in my area aren’t coming over our Southern border. I’m sure that the majority of them have official documents and welcome to the US cards.
But the time for talking has passed. After 9-11, Bushie had the momentum to get all this in place. But he was/is another elitist who just didn’t/doesn’t give an eff. I hate “our side” as much, if not more, than the Dems.

I’m not responding to her argument. I didn’t read it. I don’t care to read it. I am, however, offended that she would pick a great day of victory for us to come out and complain and put down our President. That makes her, at best, a useful idiot for our enemies and, at worst, a cynical, manipulative person who is using our desire to see a better America simply to fatten her own bank account and ego.
She’s worried about Katie Hopkins cutting in on her action.
