One of my ultra-liberal friends on Facebook has linked to this group:
Join an exciting grassroots movement writing fun, friendly election reminder postcards to targeted Democratic voters in key, close races across the country. We provide easy step-by-step instructions with addresses. You use your own cards and postage. www.PostcardsToVoters.org
And...
And the moronic republicans need to match the intensity for a real get out the vote drive.
lots of images of post cards saying vote for Doug Jones - so I guess the point is, conservatives should be doing things like this.
I don’t know, but they’re motivated. It’s an FYI. The Dembots are working hard.
Postcards....how high tech.
Probably a cover story ... most ‘grassroots’ organizations on the left are fully funded by billionaire elites like George Soros.
You’ve been had if you believe this is anything other than window dressing.
I haven’t been had. What does that mean? You think it’s not true? This isn’t some grand conspiracy. My ultra liberal friend does this and has passed this on via facebook in an effort to find other recruits. I thought it was interesting. I thought others might be interested.
True in the same sense that a mobster running for office might show off a bunch of private checks from ‘the little people’ say with a $200 total - - while getting his REAL money - hundred of thousands - from bookies
Then only talking about the 'small donations. Do I think the $200 came from small donors? Yes, I do. It's just that it doesn't matter in the larger scope of reality. Same here. I haven't seen honest grassroots action in the Democrat party in decades.
Just out of curiosity, when you see democrats with printed signs, buses disgorging people and Hollywood stars leading chants at rallies, do you think private citizens worked with printers and had bake sales to pay the $800,000 it cost to pay a Hollywood star to show up for an event? Of do you know it's all 'top down' and disguised to look like it's grassroots?
I can tell you that my friend is a sincerely devout liberal who, when Obama ran, took a bus to eastern Pennsylvania to knock on doors whenever she had a day off. She’s grassroots.
There’s lots of exceptions... your friend is one...
That's essentially what they did in Alabama; ensured every single registered voter who was likely to vote for Doug Jones got to the polls.
Meanwhile, 650,000 Trump-voting Alabamans stayed home. I suspect most of them assumed Moore would win but didn't personally want to be a part of it.
