President Trump: traitor? That seemed to be what a Chris Matthews guest was suggesting this evening.
Appearing on Hardball, former FBI agent Clint Watts, an MSNBC national security analyst, said that in criticizing the FBI, President Trump:
“is an enemy of the state.”
An “enemy of the state” has been defined as “a person accused of certain crimes against the state, such as treason.”

I’m old enough to remember that the left considered the FBI a threat to civil liberties when J. Edgar Hoover was the FBI director.
