Comparing President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler, as many liberals have done, was so common early this year that it's argubably become quite passé. Yeah, that Trump-Hitler comparison is so early 2017. The new wacky comparison of choice in the latter part of 2017 now seems to be comparing Trump to the late Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner. This is what James Wolcott, who a month ago threatened a deranged "reckoning" upon Trump supporters, has done in the December issue of Vanity Fair.
Of course, he couldn't quite let go of the favored liberal comparison of Trump to Hitler so we see him occasionally relapse by performing the amazing feat of likening Trump to both Hefner AND Hitler in WHAT DONALD TRUMP LEARNED FROM HUGH HEFNER:

I see he left out the obvious comparisons to Caligula and Vlad the Impaler.

I would love to know how Trump is like Hitler?
Somebody once said that to me, and I asked what specifically they were talking about? And they said, you can see the same things happening now as when the Nazis took power.
And I followed up with questions, such as, who are being targeted as Jews in Germany were, with loss of citizenship and being banned from many occupations and government service? What political parties have been banned? What emergency powers have been seized by Trump? Who are the political prisoners being held?
This person turned around and walked away, had no answers.
My guess is that this person heard someone on MSNBC say that Trump is Hitler, and simply parrotted back that line, without really knowing anything about the subject.
Okay then 0bama = Mugabe.
He went light on the mention of Hannibal Lector too.
And nothing about Jenjiss Khan?
Yeah. Not to mention Ivan the Terrible, Lex Luthor, Sauron, Snidley Whiplash, and Cthulhu. I'd mention Lord Voldemort but Colbert's already used him.
Trump drives these people nuts, and I'm not kidding. Twitching, babbling, delusional, rubber room, howling-at-the-sky nuts. Fun to watch but it's more than a little scary.
I remember when Wolcott had a brain.

This guy Wolcott appears a carbon copy of the drunken uncle who appears every Christmas and demands to be fed.
