Late in the night, "OregonLive" reporter Maxine Bernstein posted information on her Twitter feed showing the reasoning behind Ammon Bundy's lawyer, Morgan Philpot, declining to make an opening statement based on what happened during Monday's evidence hearing.

The closed evidence hearing when the public was ushered out on Monday involved discussion of what was revealed by the prosecution in the case last weekend under a deadline imposed by US District Judge Gloria Navarro.

"During the last nine days, from November 3 to November 12, the defense has learned that in support of one wireless camera and the related surveillance, SAC Love employed, dispatched or inserted multiple BLM and NPS officers who were heavily armed with AR-style assault rifles and who used armored vehicles around the Bundy Ranch home from April 5 thru April 8, 2014. At the same time the FBI was deploying and utilizing multiple 'snipers' in the area.....

Some very heavy new information kept from the two previous trials by the Acting US Attorney in Las Vegas and lead prosecutor Steven Myhre.

Myhre praised for his 'leadership' in the case by Jeff Sessions during a July visit to Las Vegas.

Six men were tried in two earlier trials with two convicted on serious felony charges without their defense lawyers having access to this information.

Two others entered plea deals on a misdemeanor and two others were acquitted.

There have been guilty pleas in this case without this evidence being on the table, either.

Jeez, the prosecution withholding such evidence of the government’s overbearing oppressive actions. And these people are praised by Sessions? Is this guy TOTALLY oblivious. Is he being purposefully obtuse or is he meekfully allowing himself to be kept in dark by his resident Deep State staffers? Doesn’t Sessions know how to ask FORCEFUL questions and hold his employees accountable.

OK, I’ll go into stand-bye mode now awaiting the imminent arrival of the Sessions apologists saying this is all part of incredible master plan and “just you wait, you’ll be stunned”!

They probably told Sessions that the people at the Bundy ranch were smoking dope.

The government force screwed up. Obviously they were supposed to kill all of the Bundy group. They probably should have dropped a bomb on them and then claimed the place blew up due to a gas leak.

Trump is a big fan of eminent domain, even for private purposes.
