While turbulent during the best of times, gigantic waves of change are now sweeping across the Middle East. The magnitude is such that the impact on the global price of oil, as well as world markets, is likely to be enormous.
A dramatic geo-political realignment by Saudi Arabia is in full swing this month. Its upending many decades of established strategic relationships among the world's superpowers and, in particular, is throwing the Middle East into turmoil.
So much is currently in flux, especially in Saudi Arabia, that nearly anything can happen next. Which is precisely why this volatile situation should command our focused attention at this time.

The Middle East is already in turmoil.
The more Muslim Arabs kill Muslim Iranians (and vice versa) and any other Muslims...good.
A nice decades long war between Saudi and Iran would please me. Leave Israel out of it, and I’m good.
This anti corruption campaign in SA has direct ties to the Democrat party in the US. Soros is a piker by comparison. His millions are nothing compared to the billions invested illegally in the left in the US. Suddenly the spigot is turned off.
People fail to realize that China and SA were the two large donor to Bill and Hitlery.
Doesn’t worry me a bit. Nothing I do will affect the outcome. Hence, acceptance is the answer.
It would be nice if we really could stop depending on oil. If we had the ability to just chuck the oil market and run our products on something else, something WE make and so can say bye bye to these murderous nations.
But how about we produce our own oil again in the interim?
No, truly it isnt. Read the full article and you will see how very troubling the news is and the guy is dead on accurate
Ezekiel 38 says differently.
An interesting read.
I'm sorry. I don't understand. Please explain.
.
Imagine that.
Kick out all the illegals, visa overstays and ban the invaders and the US won't need as much Saudi oil. More than a decade ago, it was guesstimated 1 in 8 people in the US was an illegal. At minimum, we'd require 12% less oil. Considering all other aspects, we might could get it down to 20% less demand.
Mr. Martenson over-states or under-states several BASIC realities to arrive at amazingly erroneous assumptions in his crystal ball thinking.
The biggest one is that all these “so called” deals with China and Russia can, at the drop of the hat, run backwards as fast as forward in the every changing and ever drifting power struggles in Saudi Arabia not to mention China. None of the three will ever make good playground buddies.
Next, neither Russia or China could move a half million troops into Saudi Arabia to save their ass. And, if they did, they likely would never leave.
Mr. Martenson diminishes the role of Saudi Arabia to the thinking of Trumps America (the 60 million that put him in office) regarding 9-11. It IS a BIG deal and will remain a big deal well into the future and it was a colossal blunder on the part of the Saudi Government to buy off the Bush’s and sweep their role (KSA’s princes with the checkbooks) in 9-11 under the rug. KSA should have rounded up the KSA contributors to 9-11 and shot them. If they had, untold millions of Americans would support KSA infinitely more than they do today. Every time I think Saudi Arabia, I think of the guys and gals jumping out of the windows of the WTC !!!
Actually it’s the exact opposite. Saudi Arabia is rooting out corruption that is directly entangled with our own Swamp.
GO GO GO MbS!
SA also donated to the Clinton’s brothers the Bushes.
China, Russia in, USA out. Sure, why not. America is CRAMMED with energy and DJT is president. I’d guess that the Kingdom wants desperately to take down Americas burgeoning energy sector. Maybe they and Russia have a plan...
This article is drivel, fake news
What’s going on in SA right now is waaay overdue. Trump reminded King Salaman that the only thing standing between the House of Saud and the Iranian army is the US and Israel. So now all of a sudden they are going back to moderate Islam. Rounding up all the hardliners is cutting off much of the money flow to promote Wahhabi jihad around the world and to the US. Who do you think has been funding all these mega mosques in the US?
The turmoil as the post puts it, is due to oil. Saudi realized that the jig is up once they failed to break the economics of fracking.’
Worse, the US has a 50 year or more supply of frackable oil and Saudi cannot compete. Therefore it has to transition out of an oil-based economy into a modern industrial state. That transition means all the radical Islamists have to go along with those Princes who support the socialists in the US; thus the round up and torture of those who support radical Islam.
