M&P 2.0 compact
Glocks are old technology.
No love for the 10mm. Some men just need to keep the 45 vs 9mm debate alive I guess.
what does that make the 1911?
I’ve had Glocks for many years...My first was a Glock 21 which I purchased in 1993 with 6 boxes of Black Talon ammo. Subsequent purchases of a Glock 17 and a Glock 30. I love all of them, and was severely depressed after the boating accident when I lost all of my firearms.
Unless you are Hoss Cartwright or Hulk Hogan, I don’t think these are the best Glock models for carry. Models 26/27 are far lighter and easier to carry than 19/23. The newer models 42 (380) and 43 (9mm) are single stack pistols that are some of the easiest to conceal in any brand. The recommended model 30 is probably one of the hardest to conceal - its like tucking a brick into your waistband.
Still waiting for a full size 9mm single column model.
My G23 is my winter carry.
I think a single stack slim frame long slide 6 inch 10mm would be nice also.
40 Cal, 10 mil, 45 and 9mm are all full sized guns and hard to conceal. I have the Glock 380, small light and has enough stopping power at close range where the vast majority defensive shooting take place.
The article might make sense if titled “...for home defense”.
Although my favorite for home defense is a S&W 686+.
I have gotten old enough that I can no longer remember all the Glock model numbers.
For most people, it is probably the 19 but most of their models will do just fine.
For carrying in my car or maybe just hiking in the woods, I would love to have a full size 10mm model.
The Glock 29 I’m currently carrying is considered compact. I carry it all the time without any problem. I also carry its full sized brother, tbe Glock 20 regularly without any problems. And I think it’s a but of a stretch to claim the .380 ever has enough “stopping power”. If the 10 mm is too much stopping power, the .380 is the complete opposite. Not just my opinion either.
Classic!!
=D
A family member said that Glocks are for those folks who can’t handle a 1911A1.
For the record, I’m on a boat right now with my entire firearm collection somewhere out on lake erie. We’re having a real good time too.
funny how it’s always the 1911 fans claiming that the Glock feels wrong and points wrong and doesn’t fit the hand well though.
I have a 40 caliber Glock 23 and I love it!
