We like them.
Its a free country, aint it?
Because we're on to THEM, that's why.
Because when we need one, we can't find the ones we know we have. So we go out and buy some more. Eventually, we have so many that we never have to search when the need arises.
Because we can.
BFYTW.
Good lord, if you can’t use apostrophes correctly, don’t post articles on the Internet! I couldn’t make it past the title.
Why does a dog lick his balls???
Why do the Swiss?
Peggy nails this one.
We live in a very thin veneer of civilization. Time and time again it doesn't take much to expose the base elements of human nature.
Having just been though Hurricane Irma, and having part of Hurricane Andrew in South Florida, the very first thing I did was inventory weapons and ammo, made sure all were in working condition and made available in short notice.
No way in Hades was I going to let some worthless scumbag thug steal my generator, food supplies, water if the worst came to pass.
Because we don't have enough apostrophe's...
You remind me of former Texas Senator Phil Gramm.
Years ago, he spoke at an NRA convention and told the crowd,
“I have more guns than I need, but not as many as I want.”
Theyre a better investment than gold...the ultimate currency for uncertainty...dont forget to invest in ammo too...
One month after "Lights Out," Manhattan will be Cannibal Island.
Peggy must have an alpha male friend with a landing strip out in flyover country.
The left imagines that every gun that’s purchased is intended to be used to shoot somebody. Hunting, target shooting or just collecting doesn’t appeal to them so nobody should do it. And the constitution is irrelevant to them.
Actually, I think Americans with lots of disposable income own lots of guns. Let’s do away with disposable income (snark).
But seriously, if you can afford a shotgun you get one, if you can afford 10 different kinds of various weapons with various calibers you get those, if you can support all those calibers with fancy-dancy reloading equipment you can purchase all that.
It really comes down to disposable income and it’s not a matter of Americans having a lust for Weaponry but more so a case that some Americans enjoy a good hobby and practice that hobby to its fullest. Or..m that some folks are not interested in becoming a victim or an unfortunate statistic. That’s the majority.
There is also that small percentage known as the criminal element...
Once again (and this is a disconcerting trend) there are those on the soapbox who strive to pass laws and cultural mores for the benefit of the lowest common denominator. While the majority of law abiding taxpaying citizens are stripped of any recourse.
For times like these.
Because we can. Next question?
Couple of songs written and performed by a good friend of mine Tommy Conners, they’ll explain our need for guns.

This song always puts a tear in my eye because it reminds me so much of my father and I. He started me hunting as soon as I was Big enough to shoot. He shook my hand when I got on the bus headed for basic training and hugged me with tears in eyes when I got off the plane in San Francisco after a tour in Vietnam. I lost Pop 3 years ago at the age of 92.
